What Is Your Favorite X-Wing Podcast?

By Spacenin, in X-Wing

Mynock is my favorite with tyderium and nova being my least favorite.

Back to dials for sure. Been hooked since the April fools switcheroo.

They just gotta get some more episodes out

I like them all, but Jodo Cast is my favorite.

1.) Nova Squadron. Simply the best. Petition to make MajorJuggler the best community member? Yes please. Paul Heaver's list ideas are always interesting to listen to.

2.) Scum & Villany. Pretty good.

Haven't listened to much of the others besides for Mynock Squadron. Too devoid of actual content. Make sure you fly Dengaroo to piss these guys off, they're greedy Palp Aces players that need to be taught a lesson.

Listened to a Shuttle Tydirium episode or two. The one where they talked about the competitive scene and Intentional Draws was great, I really liked hearing the viewpoints of "regular" X-Wing players as opposed to the views of players that constantly place at large events as that mirrors my experience, but they're supposed to be a casual podcast so once they stopped talking about competitive X-Wing I stopped caring. Sorry heychadwick, just not my cup of tea. :(

Radio TCX is my favorite and by far the best bang for the buck! Great editing and very professional pacing. Never a dull moment and always leaves you wanting more!

Man, I sound like a shill! :D

But seriously, TCX has been a great resource for a newbie like me!

Hey nova guys. I've realized I love your shows and content. But a lot of people have the same thoughts as me. While I love the three hour episodes and don't want them to stop, have you ever thought about doing express 45 minute episodes outside the normal release schedule? That could free up your podcast a little as well in your format.

Kindof like how the secret cabal does for their Boardgame podcast.

Stay on Target - being of the southeast, I enjoy this podcast. Simple and to the point, they engage in some good casual gaming as well as small scale tourney material. If I have one gripe about this one, is that there's too much cheese on the party tray. Tone down the flavor, and just get on with it. There aren't any ewok cabin crew. Stop goofing.

Does Stay on Target do ewok cabin crew, as well? I thought we were the only ones that did that. :)

Haha I have to confess that I don't know anything about ewok cabin crew. We typically only have Bothans that we mourn every episode.

Since we're based on Endor, we use a lot of Ewok crew. Ground crew, cabin crew, entertainment, furniture, catering services...

It is entirely possible that I've crossed podcast streams.

Edit- but my point remains... the kitsch... it's kitschy. You're both entertaining enough without checking in ewoks or mourning bothans. Am I off base? Does it add anything outside of a possible "eyeroll score"?

I love stay on target, great info for newbies like me, but I'm probably biased because I live in the same city they do.

And now, a moment of silence for all the Bothans who died to bring us this important information... ... ...

Making fun of Ewoks keeps me sane, personally

Then I will certainly check this one out, thanks!

Editing and pacing is a freaking killer of podcasts -- I get that we're all just nerds with plastic spaceships, and the podcasters are not necessarily professional interviewers, radio personalities, or public speakers. I just can't stand dawdling in the casts, repeating everything over & over, arguing & cutting each other off, tangent upon tangent, or poor audio quality. It can be tough to listen to.

That said, many of the X-wing shows have come a long way. Keep up the great work, folks, and thanks so much for all you do.

Scum and Villainy is my favorite. I also listen to Mynock and Nova.

No favorites so far. I've only listened to a couple episodes from SoT (big surprise), Mynocks, Nova, and S&V.

My favorites are Stay on Target and Mynock Squadron Podcast, because they have both called me a genius, and that seems like the best criteria for judging podcasts.

You get that check we sent you? I know it's not much, but that's all dhaus' had in his bank account. Enjoy the $13.83!

It's probably stuck on the same mail truck carrying Mynock's Lockdown card Dee promised me.

It's all he's got because I still haven't paid him gas money for the car ride up to nationals :)

Ya if you want clean cut and professional, then TCX is certainly the way to go. No dilly-dallying, no wild 15 minute tangents. Just the goods. And they deliver.
