Going to Start Recording Matches...

...and potentially sharing battle reports. I already ordered the camera I intend to use (it was free and I didn't have much choice) but I was wondering what sort of resolution the better content-providers have on their cameras for these types of recordings? I've posed this question on YouTube but haven't got a response - does anyone here know?

The camera I got is a Vivitar Action Cam 4k 914HD - does anyone have this model? Will it pick up dice results from 4-5 feet away?

I'm camera illiterate...

It's not all about resolution.

I'll admit I don't do video but I regular photography and it isn't all about how many MP you can record but has a lot more to do with what you get and how you get it. If I showed you a picture to fill a computer screen at 1920x1200 (my monitor's native resolution) the difference between a 36 MP image and a 12 MP image is pretty insignificant as you've only got a little more than 2 MP of information on the screen. Now you could zoom in/crop that 36 MP image a lot more but more MP (higher res) isn't always going to do much for you.

When shooting video you should also remember that the more you try to record the larger your files will be. This means longer loading times and fewer total minutes that you can record to some form of media.
