Siege of Annuminas - GenCon and Fellowship Event!

By Slothgodfather, in The Lord of the Rings: The Card Game

Since there is a very good picture of alternate art Boromir in this article I wounder: Did they post a picture of alternate art Gimli last year as well? I found one article in the news section announcing the GenCon Quest from 2015 but there was no picture of Gimli in it. Does anyone know or can link an article / picture including alternate art Gimli?

...So what happens if you don't have a gameshop nearby that's willing to do this? Can it be purchased individually?

They will release the quest itself as POD eventually, but it will not include the alt art card or playmat. In the past those have been exclusive to the event.

They didn't announce Gimli last year, that I know of. It was a surprise.

As far as I know, you can't order them directly.

We will definitely be hosting this in Northern NJ.

From the Article: Even though all three stages are interconnected, each one counts as its own game.

This means that the different teams could all play 1 copy of Tighten Our Belts during the same round, right?

Yes. Each team is considered to be their own entirely separate game. Though you do have to take turns at the same time, because of the global effects the encounter deck has during the end of the round. You don't have to go through the phases at the same time though, so some teams may get done with their turn sooner and have to wait on the others to finish before they can move on.

The article's been updated with the rules for the scenario:

The expansion symbol is sorta tripping my eyes out. I know it's supposed to be a tower, but I'm seeing a really glossy, pixelated boxing glove

nah, it's a Gatling gun.

9 attack? AWESOOOMEEE!

No, seriously, this looks just AWESOMEEE! Swear I will play it 12-handed when I get it.

That's a big table.

I'd be lying if I didn't think the same thing.

I am trying to get a store interested in Central NJ (East Windsor). If you're near there, let me know!

That would include to buy 3 encounter packs when it goes live as POD ;)

I just wanted to mention here that we will be running a Fellowship event for Siege of Annuminas in Austin, TX. Anyone in the Central Texas area who is not already on our weekly mailing list and wants to participate can contact me here or through the Hall of Beorn.

I'm certain The Covenant in Tulsa, Oklahoma will be having the event as well. Likely on Saturday but I already think we'll be playing it again on Sunday as well!

Here in Chile. We are ready for the event, in a 100%. I wrote to our main store in Santiago, chated with the owner. I posted an event Facebook. And voila! More than 20 people wants to play, and defenden the siege.

Magnifico!

Bay Area LOTR players. I am arranging a 2016 Fellowship Event at Black Diamond Games in Concord, CA for November 12th, at 1:00 PM. I posted under Community Events. Let me know if you are interested in attending.

Pittsburgh, Pa. area LOTR LCG players—I managed to pester Game Masters enough times that they agreed to host the event. It'll be on Nov. 12 at noon. I have NO idea how many kits Phil ordered, but once I find that out I'll follow up. I'm working on posting Facebook, Meetup, etc. event pages for it once I get more info.

Also adding a bump to remind people that we are raffling off both a promo Boromir and possibly a promo Aragorn.

Do you guys have a group that plays regularly in Chile? I will be visiting this holiday season for the fun of it, and could bring some cards with me! That could be pretty fun!
