With the Interceptors we got the Royal Guard TIE double Mod title. With the A-Wing we got the A-Wing Test Pilot double Elite title. What is next? Rebel Veterans giving us a double System Upgrade title on the E-Wing? What else could we see doubled and what would you fill the slots with?
Double Upgrade Titles
Double astromechs for the xwing. It costs nothing for the second astromech, but you can't use its ability. Which astromech is the free abilityless one must be marked on your squad list.
It hangs underneath the other astromech, its entire purposes just to be released as a giant piece of chaff for your integrated astromech. (Finally a use for all those generic astromechs!)

That means you actually get to use IA twice! Whee. Reminds me of a silly Astro upgrade idea I had once: 0 points: Broken Astromech. Like generic pilots, its ability block would just be flavour text.

Play some high point Epic...... Generic pilots with Generic Astromechs become a large part of your force.
A Double Title Title. It'd be a title for Tie Defenders that allows them to equip two more titles and cancels the clause on x7 that removes the cannon upgrade option. You would then have a Tie x7D Defender that gains an evade token on 3, 4, or 5 speed maneuvers, could still equip a cannon, and once per turn could fire the primary weapon after firing a secondary weapon cannon costing 3 squad points or less.
Double astromechs would be silly thematically, because the X-wing only has one astromech port. There's no place physically to have a second droid interface with the fighter.

I'm really liking double systems on E-wings, but it would have to lower cost and take a mod slot too

Just make it an E-wing only modification. Makes more sense to not have to remove the Mod slot, because E-wings don't have title options

No Engine Upgrade though. But yeah, Corran is why this is difficult.
E: trade the astromcech slot instead. Astromech upgrade, 0 points, e wing only, gain a tech slot and you may equip a non-unique astromech upgrade. NOw Corran has a much harder choice to make, of whether he wants to lose his regen.

As noted, if you trade out the astromech slot instead Corran is a lot less of a problem. It provides an alternate build, but he becomes much more of a glass cannon.
HOwever, my preferred e-wing fix would be an upgrade that occupies both the system and astromech slots, such that Corran has to choose between whatever it is OR FCS/Regen. But that's material for another thread.
You know, now that I'm thinking about it, maybe corran needs the bump? You don't see him all that often these days, rebel regen is a lot weaker than it used to be. All the huge damage spikes and damage you can't dodge would still exist.

You MUST have the Astromech Icon in you Upgrade bar to equip.
You Must Equip 1 unique and 1 non-unique Astromech upgrade, paying squad points as normal.
If a game effect instructs you to discard an Astromech Upgrade, you must discard all equipped Astromechs.
The rationale is that you actually only have 1 mech on board but you gave it a software upgrade so it can do more. R2 with R2-D2 or BB-8 sounds fun but costs 6 or 4 points respectively.
Scum double illecit can only be used with PS6 or higher probably make it unique.
