Gravity well.. all ships at range one count all maneuvers as red.
Mine idea
See: Thermal detonators.
Thermal detonators explode... I could see this as something that might stick around until destroyed (not sure how to destroy it) or just stick around in general.
nice idea to drop on an area full of stressed pilots ....
But if ALL manuevers are red, what can stressed pilots do? They can't legally perform ANY manuever, so they have to hand over the dial.
I mean, it sounds fun on the surface, but once you look, it's a little ridiculous.

I like the idea, though. So let's alter it to "Ships at range 1 cannot perform red maneuvers, treat all other maneuvers as white and receive 1 stress." Also, let's add a collision effect to remove the mine from the battlefield when you fly over it.
Edited by debilerIt could be a cool secondary weapon for a huge ship. Gravity well generator. Single use, and allows you to place a Gravity Well token on the board at range 2-5, in arc. Like a mini-Interdictor gravity projector.
Regarding the effects of the gravity well, what about:
"Ships at range 1 of the Gravity Well token treat all printed green maneuvers in their dial as white, all printed white maneuvers as red, all printed red maneuvers are illegal, and when performing a Boost, Barrel Roll or SLAM, they are assigned 1 stress token.
When a ship or maneuver template overlaps a Gravity Well token, roll 1 attack die. On a hit or crit result, the ship suffers the damage rolled. On a Eye result, the ship chooses and discards one of its equipped upgrade cards. Then remove the Gravity Well token."

Remove all ships, all obstacles and the playmat.
Replace them with new ship models from outside the game at random, new obstacles at random and a new playmat.
When a ship within Range 1 reveals a manoeuvre, execute that manoeuvre using the template 1 speed slower than that revealed (minimum of 1).
OR
Ships within Range 1 cannot performing Boost, Barrel Roll or Evade actions.
OR
combination of both (but that's pretty full-on).

Yeah, debiler you are certanly onto something. I love that idea
