Yes. He certainly can get up to 7 hits.

5 dice for the APT + 1 die for his ability + 1 hit for Fearlessness. You really need a way to feed him a focus and a TL on the same turn though.

Adv Prot torp is range 1, why not just keep a TL from range 2 or 3? 7 possible hits is better than rerolling 1 or 2 die for increased damage.

Fenn Rau gets +1 attack die at R1 and in opponents arc, Fearlessness lets you add a hit result at R1 and in opponents arc.

i just did a test and out of 20 rolls if Manaroo was able to give Rau a TL and Focus or if Rau was able to get a TL after boostingor barrel rolling into R1 and Manaroo give the focus then Rau would get 7 hits 19 out of 20 rolls, ouch

If you put on Guidance Chips this improves significantly. With Focus and TL, Fenn is then getting 4 guaranteed hits and one guaranteed crit, the only dice actually being rolled are two of them. Chances of both being blank is only something like 15%. ANd if it's not blank, it's at least a hit in this situation.

It's a superbly painful arrangement, but it's worth noting that he gets almost the same effect with PTL. He's just one hit shorter - but he doesn't need Manaroo's support as much.

It's is even less, it's already 96% chance for 7 hits without chips. APT are darn effective to get all hits as they transform 3 blanks in hits IF you have focus. edit: Here was stupid stuff.

Uhm its too late for me. Forget the re-rolls. I should go to bed. Focus alone is enough, rolling more than 3 blanks is just incredible unlikely on 6 dice.

His primary is also scary, but follows a far more conventional curve - and remember that 7 hits is approaching 'one shot Fel, plapatine and token stacks be damned' territory: even if he rolls up absolutely perfect evades and token spends, there's still a third of that damage deck as direct hits... ;)

Yup. And he can't evade for token stacks, so if you do want to fly him that way he's 38-40 pts for what is fundamentally 2/3rds of the defender: glass cannon, much?

So fly him with something suitably aggressive, else he's going to be public enemy #1.

Oh, APT is *much* better than that: you're rolling six So, THEN choosing which four are automatically hits and a crit.
