As someone who owns all the PoD things and the Wilds and Alchemy expansions, how much of this is going to carry over exactly and in what way? The conversion kit didn't seem to mention anything about the expansions and such that I noticed.

Just the monsters, investigators and tiles which will add more options to the new app driven scenarios. It appears the rest of the items and scenarios will remain first edition only.

Don't be so sure. The descent app mined all the expansions.

A POD expansion may unlock a couple of random events or a new scenario, even though there is no new tiles or plastic to add.

It looks like it adds all the monsters and investigators from both big expansions as well:

"The terrifying Dunwich Horror, the haunting Cthonian, and fifteen other monsters from the first edition may linger to haunt you in the second. You may also make use of sixteen additional investigators, by pairing the new cards with your existing figures in order to further customize your second edition investigative team"

The Dunwich Horror is from Call of the Wild, and there are 16 investigators total, 8 from the base game, 4 from Forbidden Alchemy and 4 from Call of the Wild. I can't imagine it would add anything from the POD scenarios as I'd guess equipment cards would work differently to match the new dice system. There wouldn't be anything to physically add from a POD. Just a bit of guesswork there though...

Kind of a shame that I cant even use the tiles and it seems like the box wont have that much in it if we get to bring over that many monsters/investigators. This $100 price tag is starting to seem really high...I'll still watch and see how this goes but, yeesh.

Boy does it, I super missed that. Whoopsie doodle, lol. $100 still seems kind of steep though, but I'm also still intensely interested since I loved the first edition.

It looks like the core content from 1E base game and 3 main expansions will be importable into the app to increase options for rooms, monsters and investigators in 2E. That's great for me since I've already painted all of the original investigators and monsters. I'm very happy I'll be able to use all of these in 2E from the beginning.
