The mental state of rebel & imperial pilots these days

By Grivoire, in X-Wing

Apparently these pilots do not seem to exhibit fearlessness in the face of adversity like their scum counterpart. Thoughts?

I'll just say that I guess the EPT is specifically for Mandalorians because Mandalorians.

Imperial combat doctrines try not to encourage psychotic lone wolves who fly their unshielded equipment directly into the guns of the enemy.

And the Rebels have such a shortage of ships and pilots that they'd rather not waste them on unhinged hotshots like that.

"Your generic TIE grunt is just plain suicidal. And the TIE Defender jockey is bloodthirsty. But the TIE Interceptor pilot, he's suicidal and bloodthirsty. When you see a squad of those maniacs flying your way, you'd better hope your hyperdrive is operational." ~Kyle Katarn

Fair point on the rebels though ;)

Ive known pilots of the Empire to be known for their ruthlessness.

The rebels and imperials aren't just risking their lives. They're risking the property of the cause. So they're just being responsible.

No problems with the mental state of either.

The Imperials are getting a 0 point bonus EPT called "Overconfidence". It just states "Don't worry about the extra hit, Uncle Palpy's got it!"

The Rebel's will be called "Trollable". It will cost 3 points and state "After an attack roll you may use a focus result to roll a green die. On an evade result you may reroll a red die changing a blank to a hit. Just be happy we didn't make it 4 points, 'cause we could have."

Beat me too it.

Is there a rebel only EPT?

Is there a rebel only EPT?

Nope. It could be an interesting design space down the line for sure.

Nonesense. Mandalorian culture frowns on illicit drug usage, and you will not find a single Glitterstim user amongst the members of the Concord Dawn Protectorate.
