[Scum] Fearless swarm

Now that the awesome Fang Fighter has been spoiled, a lot of possibilities are open for Scum. Toying a little with the idea, I decided to not focus on the ship itself, but what (little) it brings to the game instead. And what I'm thinking may be hilarious or just go down in flames.

Torkil Mux (19):

  • Twin Laser Turret (6)
  • Dengar (3)

Total: 28 pts

Tansarii Point Veteran (17):

  • Fearlessness (1)

Hardest part of the list may actually be to come up with 4 Scyks. The rest can be proxied for tests until FF actually arrives.

Other than that, it's pretty simple: point those Scyks the right way, let Torkil scum it up and fire away. Torkil can also be a Palob packing the Wired/Zuckuss combo as well. Both options will be tested as soon as possible.

Any other suggestions? A different cornerstone ship, perhaps?

This list seems better at hedging your bets vs the "evil green dice of failure"

Not sure I like Torkhil in this slot - the Tansarris are already PS 5, his ability isn't as relevant. Maybe a Protectorate for late game survivability, or the Palob build you mentioned (Palob has the bonus of also being PS 5 so you can choose activation order).

Or you could just decide to do something stupid:

For anything +PS5, Torkil is still game. And that's a lot of stuff.

But Palob being PS5 sure is a nice bonus. I just think that, when swarming, Torkil has more impact.

AB at PS5 is just a no-go for me. Cute, but no.

Though, I'm thinking juke on Serissu might be a better choice. Soontir and Vader would have first shot at her. She's tied at ps8. Much better chance of having that evade still on her.

A little MFFFF maybe?

Serissu and 4 base Fang Fighters is 100 points.

19 hit points behind 3 greens with re-rolls. Keep Serissu back, and let the Fangs take turns blocking and pounding away with those big primaries.

Possiblity of 20 damage a turn (R1+Fearlessness). That is enough to take 1 JM5K or multiple CrackBlacks/Awings off the board a turn. Against aces you will need some good blocking. It would be tough but doable.
