I do see a small niche for Scyks. If you run Old Teroch, you can strip all tokens from an enemy and then use Ion Scyks to lock them down. This would be wonderfully cruel to Soontir.

Wow....the Kihraxz will not be worth much until it gets a fix. I know many have said it isn't worth much to begin with, but I'd been using it and having fun. I'm not sure how it can compete with this ship, though. About the same points and just sub-par.
Love it. Fearlessness is going to be fun. Old Teroch and Palob is going to be soo annoying. Teroch is going to screw over a lot of the Imperial Aces as well. Hey Fel, where did all your Focus and Evade tokens go???

Fearlessness is going to be a beast on a lot of different ships. I'm thinking of a ton of them....like Boba Fett.
What about N'Dru w/ Fearlessness and Cluster Missiles? That's 4 red dice +1 with each shot.
That might even be better than Lone Wolf OR VI for him. Yow that's gonna sting.
Also, is it just me or is Kad ideally suited for Mindlink squads? Being able to token up on reds is lovely for them, it means he can give them thier free action every round he's not bumped, and some that he is.
Edited by thespaceinvaderWould Fearlessness would work with Accuracy Corrector? You're not further modifying the dice, you're adding a result. So you can run AC first, then add the extra die so it doesn't get cancelled by AC, no?
EDIT: Disregard, adding falls under the Modify Dice category, so that combo is out.

Oh lord that's horrible. Kavil with ABT, fearlessness, R4 Agromech seems likely to be very strong... briefly.
Sorry to be the crusher of dreams but Fearlessness needs you both to have each other in arc, Kavil ability only works when you are attacking a target outside of your firing arc.
Also, is it just me or is Kad ideally suited for Mindlink squads? Being able to token up on reds is lovely for them, it means he can give them thier free action every round he's not bumped, and some that he is.

Mindlink doesn't give him modifiers atop what he already has

It gives everyone else mods, is the point.
But yeah, Pred or Lone Wolf (or Fearlessness actually) are very good for him. He stands to be an excellent dogfighter.
Fearlessness on Dengar, with R4 Aggro, Recon Spec, Guidance Chips and Adv. Protons. Extra munitions for flavour.
Potential for 12 damage.
Then put in Fenn Rau with Fearlessness, Autothrusters.

Ehhh... not seeing much here that I want. This expansion looks really self-contained in that you'd buy this if you want to fly this. If fearlessness wasn't scum only I'd probably pick it up just to get one.
I may have finally found an expansion that I'll skip. I wonder if we are going to start to see more expansions like this?
Not gonna lie, at first my reaction to this was "OMG awesome I want 7 of these." Then it hit me... "Omg, this just made the 'bad' ships in the game even worse." Like seriously, this will invalidate so many ships.
These things are awesome . I'm/we're being optimistic so don't ruin it for us.
I know (a lot of) people are going to cry foul and that these things are going to wreck everything - but remember this: They have no shields. These things are going to be like 30-point missiles. They go in, straight at the opponent, and poof: they either shred the competition or get blown up in a plume of defeat. Yes, they have the ability to 2-Talon Roll. Yes, I think that will keep them alive and attacking for another round or two. But who in their right mind flies their ships colonial-style in a straight line and will allow that maneuver to let these P-Fighters around back at range-1 of all of their ships?
Want to run Old Teroch or Fenn Rau and their shenanigans? X-Wing has already adapted to paint targets on these hyper-intensity ships - and Scum doesn't have a Biggs.
I love these ships. Will have 2-3 when they are released, no question. One such ship will probably replace my bug-zapper Z-95s that fly along side the two Trando-Slaver list I love.

Scum has a Biggs. N'Dru with CLuster Missiles, Lone Wolf, Glitterstim, Guidance Chips. Kill him before he fires, or he WILL unload 8 damage to face.

I think the point is that Kavil does his Kavil thing out of arc, and he does the Fearless thing in-arc. Either way, more Autoblaster goodness!

The actual models for the Scyk and the Fang don't really look much alike. The various TIEs are closer to each other as are the Z-95, X-WIng, and T-70.

Restrictions future design because of things that see very marginal, if any, play is a bad idea.

I think this is what the devs were talking about but I agree that one unique ship isnt really a hard counter. That said, I think the ship in general is quite good against the jumpmaster.
It is pretty bogus that they talk at length about the dial but dont show it *facepalm*.
I have never flown scum. I am crazy excited for this ship and will definitely fly it. They just went from selling me 1 to selling me 4.

****, I completely misread the ability. I thought it triggered on receiving a stress token, which would have been great. Still a fun ship. I will certainly be trying him out Mindlinked with 4-LOM, and potentially a contracted scout with the Punishing One title and Overclocked Astromech.
