These things are going to be insane up close. And the pricing seems good too.
And that's a 2 K-Turn showing on the dial in the pic. Nice way to whip around and still stay in close.
These are insane. No-one will ever fly a Kihraxz again. They also leave T-65 X-Wings totally in the dust. 20 points for a PS1 version, 2 more than an PS1 Interceptor with an extra hull already, swaps Evade for TL.

Nope, 2-T-roll.

Ah, yeah, had to blow it up a little to see that.
Holy crap! Old Teroch is gonna screw with soooo many people.
Old Teroch, auto include, I can't even fathom. And it's if you're in your enemy's firing arc? Oh man! What a troll ship!
"Come on, target me, I dare you."
Edited by CheapCreepI love how with every new ship announcement, the 'T-65 is totally fine guys' crowd get's quieter and quieter, as more ships that are objectively better in every way are released.
The ninth wave of starship expansions for X-Wing ™ is all about experimenting with firing arcs. The ARC-170 and Special Forces TIE fighter both feature auxiliary firing arcs that lead to interesting tactical decisions, and the Shadow Caster introduces a new mobile firing arc, which can rotate and face in different directions from round to round. Still, while all these ships encourage new ways to fly because they incorporate different firing arcs, it can be argued that the final Wave IX ship, the Protectorate Starfighter , is the one that does the most to encourage us to rethink our firing arcs…
Still reading it, but this isn't the final one of the Wave.
Totally called fearlessness
Dud not call ps 3 epts. Thank the force, we can fly four crackshot thrusters
Promised FO dial greens (yay!) But somehow 20 point ps 1 (BOO!)
Also old Terry ... Hell to the hell yeah

I could maybe see Talonbane + Fearlessness.
No dial, but the article says it's similar to Interceptor's and FO's. So it as probably green turns (but wich speed ?)
This ship is too good. I think I'm converting away from Scyks.
Six green maneuvers, though. What will those be? I'm thinking no 1-speed banks or straights, all 2 speed maneuvers as green, and a 3-straight as green.
Also before anyone sings the praises of Torp scout hardcounters...no
Terry does it, sure, but specific pilots aren't really widespread enough to qualify. Thrusters are hardcounters to turrets, Terry is just REAALLY GOOD against torp scouts
Remember he's only one ship, he can't carry your whole squad. Palob AND Terry, though...
Even if you deny 1 scouts shots, you could just get annhilated by the other two scouts
Not saying he's bad (he's AWESOME) but this isn't the counter you're looking for

So... No dial, but we do know from the images it has a 3 turn and a 1 bank (assuming the images are accurate), plus the 2-t-roll. And six greens, so presumably 5 at a single speed and 1 other straight. Hopefully not 3 and 3, that would stink. I'm wondering personally if it's all the 3-speeds and a 2-straight. A TAP dial would be outstanding, and the price point of the PS1 might suggest it as a possibility.
Old Teroch is the prophesied hard counter to Scouts, and is a BEAST against Soontirs and other token stackers as well.
Kad Solus is a great jouster.
And the EPT generics seem solid value, but the PS1 is TWENTY freaking points. So, not possible to run 5 with the title, which I guess is not entirely surprising, but still disappointing and well overcosted when you consider the price point for the Alpha Squaddie. That's disappointingly well overcosted and I doubt it will ever see the table. I mean seriously, the Scout is only 5 points more.
I'm thinking two, maybe three if I really feel like trying to make the spinny-ship conversion.
And is anyone else thinking how good Fearlessness might be for Guri?
Still super pumped for this.
I'm really liking the look of Fearlessness, too. I'd like to put that on Zuckuss. That's 5 dice at range-1 plus an extra hit result. Ouch!
My guess is 2 straight and banks, and all 3s are green.
Is this the scout hard counter? Because Old Teroch kind of looks at least a little like a soft counter.
Figures it'd end up in Scum. :/

Where are you seeing a 1-bank? I'm only seeing those used for boosting.
We're promised an Interceptor/fo dial (but with t-rolls) so expect that
If the 3 greens are green, though, that'd fit the ship's ZOOM ZOOM RANGE 1!!!! playstyle a lot more
Also hood thing I already posted about Terry not being a hardcounter

Yeah, you're probably right about it being for boosts.
E: I'd love to see 3-turn/bank/straight and 2-straight as a dial. It would be an interesting ship to fly, good at getting into r1 for the joust but not so hot at turning round.
I'd also be interested to see a ship that has 1-turn and 2-bank/straight for its greens. It would be an interesting change of pace for it to have different-speed greens.
Edited by thespaceinvaderI'm more excited about future releases. Finally a ship that comes with cards either for it's own faction or just that ship. Rebellion and Imperial player will not be compelled to buy this just for the cards.
AWESOME!!!
Thank you Fantasy Flight
[Edit] I'll probably get a couple but this time, at least, it won't be only for the cards.
Edited by Ken at SunriseOld Teroch is hilariously bad compared to Carnor Jax. Carnor's ability is superior in almost every way.
Really nice pilot art. I like the Concord Dawn Veteran best, but all are good.

The T65 with IA is fine when comparing to wave 7 stuff. With wave 8 older ships keep falling behind.
If the Fang dial is too good, then FFG invalidates not only T65, but in a swift move Khiraxz, Viper and Scyk, too.
