The large pegs don't fit anything, nor do the coloured large bases fit any other pegs.

The colored bases is made for the newer molds I think.

They work fine with my new jumpmaster and hounds tooth but the are far to small for my old falcon and 2400.

The small ones are almost too thick instead and nearly breaks my old x-wings ships peg.

I saw that the conversation popped up prior to my buying a couple sets of them and was aware of it but I was still disappointed when I tried to use them. I played a match with two Interceptors and a Lambda. I managed to force the pegs into the Interceptors but I was really worried about them not coming out or breaking after the match was over. I had to swap the colored pegs for the Lambda with clear pegs in the colored base so I could have something to grab for movement purposes, since the peg was too small and my Lambda's pilot tokens are loose in the large bases (clear and colored). I guess I'll try to shave down the colored pegs, but then I'll be worried about shaving them down so much that they will be a good fit for the old ships but a poor fit for the newer ships.

Now I've got in my storage solution three ziploc baggies dividingul which pegs work with which ships, when I should only have one.

Yeah the change to peg size sucks major balls.

You could get a file and reduce a side it's plastic it shouldn't take much effort.

What's this? So what are we supposed to do - mark each peg so we can keep track of which ship it goes with? Does this apply to the regular clear pegs as well?

A large part of the appeal of interchangeable parts is the interchangeability.

My purple ones have fit every ship I've tried so far, both older and newer. And they fit well. Nothing loose so far.

The set of reds i bought the large base pegs dont fit anything. I can however use large clear pegs on the red base and make it work...

Decided the quality is not worth the price. Back to painting the bases.

The worst part is that it is undocumented. Sorting your pegs and finding the fitting ships is super annoying. SCREW YOU FOR THAT FFG!

I got all colors except orange, and they actually all fit nicely, on both older and newer ships. Some are a little looser than others, but they're all "good enough" fits. But that's just one person's experience.

I always wear down my pegs so that they fit right, one of very few exception so far has been my new old T-65 x-wing, which all components fit nicely except the cardboard, which requires a bit of persuading to remove.
