[Scum] Attanni Force

Abut week ago I saw great list: Two Firesprays and Scyk with tractor beam. All had Attanni. It worked really well and had much firepower, but Scyk was the weak one and easy to kill. I was thinking how to change it, so I came up with this:

2x 30pts. Grand Findsman

  • Attanni Mindlink,
  • Tactician,
  • Fire Control System.

40pts. Mandalorian Mercenary

  • Attanni Mindlink,
  • Dengar,
  • Tractor Beam.

Many people think (as me before), that G-1As' dial isn't good enough to give it mindlink. I tested this list for couple of games and it isn't as bad, as I tought before. It has just some red actions, that you usually don't need (sometimes you do, then it's hard to decide, if do it or not). It has really good firepower, and some defence with whole bunch of actions (focus, evade, tl)

and Dengar. I just think, that tactician doesn't fit that roster, but I don't know, what to put instead (maybe Outlaw Tech).
What do you think? And your best Attanni lists (maybe I'll find some nice synergis to my list :D)?

Too little agility, too little punch, too vulnerable to alpha striking. In particular, FCS seems likely to trigger maybe once on each G1A if you're lucky.

The Tacticians are an interesting little wrinkle, but I think you'd be better off with Zuckuss on at least one of them.

Mindlink just isn't good enough value to be worthwhile in even mid-level competition, for me. It's a solid thing, but it's not outstanding and Scum really need outstanding to make up for their somewhat iffy array of ships. You get very good action economy, at the cost of a much more rigid movement order, and not using the likes of Juke or Predator. In particular, Juke/FCS Findsmen I suspect are probably the best option for Findsmen, if you want to run them, IMO.

For me, Mindlink would have to be weirdly priced for it to be worth it - I'd think about pricing it at 1 point total for all copies of mindlink you wish to equip (or, the first copy is 1 point all the rest are free) at which point it might just about be worth taking.

Fundamentally, this list fails a basic test - would it be better with all three ships having Crack SHot? Probably yes, it would.

So, i like Findsmen and don't feel like starting new topic, so I'll post my new idea (trusting ur words) with Palob's Juke Findsmen:

34pts. Palob Goldahi

  • Squad Leader (test)(if he has many focus tokens and Dengar, he dont need to make any actions, and Findsmen need evade to work),
  • TLT,
  • Dengar,
  • Moldy Crow (test)(it's quite pricey, i put this over K4 or any other 3+ cost pilot on his boys).

2* 33pts. Grand Findsman

  • Juke,
  • Outlaw Tech (test)
  • Sensor Jammer (test) (again, it's quite pricey).

Gonna test it out and share my thoughts below.
