I'm looking to get some sort of container for my minis, but I'm looking for something that's $80 in american or less, any suggestions?
Storage help.
Plano 732.
The main trays hold small ships, dials, and inserts perfectly, the side trays are great for tokens and more ships and the top has room for large ships and cards. I've tried most of the common options and this is definitely the best.
I prefer the Plano 1374:
The website says $40, but you can usually get it around $20 at places.
The 1374 has more room for ships and dials, but I find it less suitable for storing all the tokens and cards and such.
It probably is a better choice if your playing a lot of epic games though. That top compartment is great for the huge ships.
I feel like the 1374 has more room for storage. I used to hold all my large based ships on top, but they got too numerous. Also, my various cards and such got too numerous. At this point, I use the top to store all my pilot cards, upgrade cards, template tray, dice bag, and pill container for my most common tokens.
I'll pull out my pill container for games to have all my shields and focus and stress tokens all ready for play.
One of the things I like about the 1374 is that there are 4 trays. I use one for each faction, and the fourth to hold my asteroids, bomb templates, damage deck, token locks, spare tokens, etc. I did have some overflow and moved my 4 Tie Bombers into this tray when I was flying them all the time. They still hold the space of honor as I just don't play one list like that anymore. This one tray held all my tokens and movement templates until I got extra fancy.
If you want to see more on my storage, I started a thread on how awesome the 1374 is....and the other epic and large based ships I have. Thread is here: https://community.fantasyflightgames.com/topic/224341-heychadwicks-storage-solution/
I should add that to my signature.
Here is my setup, also using the 1374
1374 here as well. I actually have 2 of them now.
