Advanced SLAM+Action Torpedo

By Engine25, in X-Wing

So we didn't actually see the text for the torpedo in the ARC, but it looks like it might be spend an action to deal damage in some way.

After a SLAM action, you receive a Weapons Disabled token. With Advanced SLAM, the K wing can perform a free action after it performs a SLAM.

If this new torpedo is indeed an ACTION: card, not an ATTACK: card, is there a chance that it could still be activated by a K wing after a SLAM?

Not a chance, a certainty (literally the same thing as conners Ito trigger, only it's a torp upgrade)

The "chance" is that we don't exactly know if it's an attack or not

If it is an action, then yes you could put it on an Advanced SLAM K-wing. Whether or not it does damage or is worth the point cost of said torpedo is the real question.

But, a torpedo is a weapon, and if your weapons are disabled.... They already said no feedback array use if you have a weapons disabled token, this would probably be the same interpretation. But, you can drop a bomb with the advanced slam action. There will be many arguments until it's been FAQ'd.

Yep. Current rules would suggest it will be possible but cannot be sure until the set and accompanying faq drop.

Torpedoes are not weapons

Secondary weapons are; some secondary weapons go in the torpedo slot

For example, extra munitions and bomb loadouts ARE NOT WEAPONS

Also, over in missiles, charidan refit isn't a weapon

Tracer threads, which don't do damage, ARE

it all depends on if they have a red dice value or not (also tell you to "perform an attack")
