Extra figures treated as hero's.

By gamecrawler, in Descent: Journeys in the Dark

Got a few questions when using extra figures in a campaign that says they are treated as figures (such as Celia the historian in the quest we are doing)

1. Does the overlord gain an overlord card if they knock out that figure?

2. Does the overlord increase monsters group limit if there were only 2 or three hero's to begin with?

No for both situations.

This greatly depends on the rules of the encounter, it's hard to say for sure, I'd say, without more to go on. However, some thoughts:

1. Probably not. I can't think of any situation where this'd be an issue, though; if something is treated as a hero, the encounter usually ends when it dies.

2. Definitely not. Monster group limits are determined by the number of heroes playing, not the number of heroes or count-as-heroes on the board.

Are these figures able to receive search cards?

Are these figures able to receive search cards?

No. I recommend you check out my glossary (see my signature) for some more detailed info about things treated as hero figures.

Are these figures able to receive search cards?

No, but you can usually use search cards *on* them, as far as I know. They just can't hold them themselves. They have no play area.
