Now if only I were allowed to run 9 Rogue Squadron x-wings...
Conflict Article
Was always really about the big ships.... but then flotillas provided me with cheap easy carriers... and this has just provided multiple new fighter options to go with them.
Rogue squadron FTW
Both.
Teams of 1-3 on each side.
So, is this cooperative, competitive, or both?
Details still fourthcoming, but signs point top both.

Hmmmm.... I'd love to see a fully cooperative option. I do get tired of getting beat by my wife all the time....
Now I will have to stay up all night and make little digital versions
Already up on KDY, if it helps any.
As Y-Wings are my favorite, I am eager to see what weirdness they will get.
And, holy crap, just noticed they said it's coming out the end of this year!
This is sooo exciting based on the info and cards shown so far, bringing so much more to the game exspecially with wave 3 and 4
"In the end, a team wins control of the Corellian Sector when it scores a set number of campaign points based on the number of players,..."
Wonder if it will be feasible as a 2 player campaign.
So, is this cooperative, competitive, or both?
It's a competitive team game. (Something was mentioned somewhere about controlling multiple fleets if you only have 2 players).
Can someone clue me in on how we know about Biggs Darklighter?
Can someone clue me in on how we know about Biggs Darklighter?
These include some of the most storied pilots and legendary squadrons in the Star Wars universe, meaning that for the first time, The Corellian Conflict allows you to fly Biggs Darklighter alongside Luke Skywalker in Armada. You will also find Rogue Squadron, Black Squadron, and the new Imperial interceptor ace, Ciena Ree, who hails from Claudia Gray's recent Star Wars novel, Lost Stars.
There had better be new and cool ships too because I'm actually sick of fighters in Armada.
Its called Wave 3 and 4.
You'll have to wait for Wave 5 for anything else.
Because there;s only Squadrons and Objectives in the box.

Ahh, read it all too fast. I am also pleasantly surprised by the price point.
What a disappointment.
Well, I guess that's your prerogative to be so.... But I think you're in the very vast minority on that fact, given the overall levels of excitement.
Stoked for this expansion, great way to introduce new cards whilst also creating a new way to play the game. Will have to give it a go with the gents down at the shop!
Escort. should never be on a fighter without counter.

Black Squadron is a 9 point sacrificial shield for your important aces that you don't want shredded immediately.
Almost every single Ace but Vader, plus vanilla ties and interceptors, benefits from it. Mithel, Fel, Howlrunner, Dengar, Rhymer, plus whomever else comes in this box. Maybe it's effectiveness will be increased by another Imperial "Bubble" squadron (a la Rhymer, Dengar, or Jan)
It might even absorb two rounds of shooting. More even with a jamming field!
Did I mention that it's only one point more than a standard TIE Fighter? With counter?
Though, my one gripe is that I wish the non-ace unique squadrons came with one defense token. More often than not it would be nullified by an errant accuracy in dogfights, but I think one would be appropes to represent the survivability of unique squadrons over vanilla ones, but still less than ace-led squadrons representing elite fighter groups.
Edited by EggzavierThere are 4 SKU's missing (SWM20-24) between the flotillas & the campaign set. Wave 3 & 4 switched the SKU order, so it doesn't necessarily mean that we'll have 4 other items ready for Q4 release. Still, I wouldn't be totally surprised if we see something else in Q4, maybe with a Rogue One tie-in. Or the SKU's could be in early design for release next year.

Being able to protect your Rhymer ball with 3 black squadrons instead of 2 TIE advanced for only 1 more point....yes please!!!

Black squadron is unique.
I'm noticing that on the product page it's listing 'Campaign Expansions'
Which means that this may just be the first in a series.

Black Squadron is unique, isn't it? I think that means you can only have one.
