Conflict Article

Rouge Squadron: Other squadrons think this squadron looks pretty, and must attack it if able to do so.

Escort, Bomber

Nah, Trinity. We gather that from the recent info from our Bothan nobility. A frakking huuuuuuge picture size wise.

Thanks to Stev, the Bothan master, and Ginkapo for reposting it.

I did call the 13 HP and possibility for red (actually all I did was imply it. It felt insane enough that I was doubting what the colour correction on photoshop told me it was.). :P

I'm just here to help in honor of all the both and who fell before me : )

All Dead!

So let's talk about the pain it the but created by this setup. It looks to me like this is going to be like a 5 person game of risk in the old days. We'll have to set up the conflict board somewhere that we can leave it setup for probably weeks.

I suppose you could just write everything down, but where's the fun in that?

Photography is a beautiful thing my friend. ;)

Did I just see a B-Wing with Swarm? My GOD, I need to get more games in now.

... Man, that Armed 13 Hull Point station has Red-Red-Blue-Blue for ANTI SQUADRON....

That's gonna be bonkers.

I may be paraphrasing just a little but, "It's suicide to attack a Golan defense platform head on!"

Red-Red-blue-blue anti-squadron... I mean it's our first red anti squadron to date, and 2 of 'em? Frig, if the perma-death unique squadrons thing is absolute (and you can't buy them back or have some med-team campaign bonus), I don't think I want any of my special pricey little fighters going anywhere near that thing. Better hope that there's no way to modify those dice rolls.

That is why they implemented 16 new squadrons for this expansion. Not just a money grab, but because most aces will not live to see the end of the campaign and the fleets need fresh ace meat.

I think the non-ace uniques like Rogue, Black, and Dagger squads will be "resurrectable." Rebuilding Rogue squadron is possible. Resurrecting Wedge would not be. That gives you a way to field exceptional squads without always fearing losing them.

Man though, the first 1-2 games are going to be less about winning and more about assassinating all unique cards.

Man, how awesome would it be if the armed stations had squadron values :D

Would love to see a defensive mission where a station and it's compliment of squadrons had to hold out until a reinforcement fleet arrived.

Also, from what I can read of it, Blockade run may be my new favorite objective :)

Have initiative against a VSD Rhymerball list. Well I could go first.... or..... I have blockade runner in my objectives!

Third best selling non-collectable miniature game in Fall 2015. I believe we're still waiting on the Spring 2016 results, as I couldn't find those.

In some areas the meta is drying up but overall it seems to be doing fine. If your meta is struggling, you're going to see evidence that backs up your gut feeling everywhere. And then you're going to come to the forums and fight with people and tell us Armada is dead/dying. Then the rest of us are going to roll our eyes at you and then someone will say something about AdmiralNelson and we'll move on with life.

Only I did no such thing. I pointed out that if they repeat what's been happening it will stop growing and that companies are known to then kill the whole project or that they whither anyway. Also, if that's the whole of the data available there is nothing positive to be drawn from that. That's before the famine isn't it?

So you are using crud data and making threats of social ostracism based not really on the data but on your preference to strike out at anyone who questions, no matter how slightly, the assuredness of your cheese remaining in the same place. Odds are you will be fine unless you use this sort of thinking in your personal finances because there really is no guarantee Uncle Sugar will ever send you checks.

Seriously though the pure concentrated insanity in that response was highly enjoyable. High five to you, Uncle Sugar. Gotta go, I need to strike out for some cheese soon, we're running low.

Maybe, or maybe they don't use unique cards.

Are you talking about the named squadrons (Rogue, Black, etc)? Cause we can see from their cards that they're unique...

When I said I expected the first rounds to be a lot of assassination, he was commenting that various unique cards might be held back by circumstance or design.

Example: I will take out Rhymer as soon as I play a match with him on the table. My opponent may intentionly not play him until it is critical because of this.

I predict that Rogue Squadron, Black Squadron, etc. will be explicitly called out as uniques that can be rebuilt multiple times in the campaign. There will no such exception for aces, admirals, officers, or titles.

In regular non-campaign play, these squadrons will be treated exactly the same as other unique squadrons.

I want to turn the stickers into pegs. That way I can reuse them. Some have thought of magnets

I was just going to photocopy the map or anything else that needs reusing....

Velcro and laminate the stickers?

Probably the cheapest and most effective way. Could get a press together laminating sheet and a stripe of velcro for like $10 at an office store. Boom unlimited replay.

Oh thats a really good idea.

I was thinking of gett8ng a magnet board (though it's basically just a piece of metel) and adhering a laminated map to it. Though I need to figure out a place to get magnets for the stickers.

Also a good idea. Such crafty admirals
