How are people getting double focus on kangaroo?
Double focused manaroo?

Derp...right on.
Danke
Contracted Scout with Mindlink and Manaroo with Mindlink and Rec Spec.
Scout focus link to Roo, Roo focus +rec spec, transfer 3 focuses to Scout, get one back. Generate FIVE focus tokens from two focus actions!
Why would you do that, you ask? Because YOU CAN.

"When you perform a focus action, assign 1 additional focus token to your ship."
With Dengaroo, you can also just not use Recon Specialist and instead put Overclocked R4 on Dengar. Manaroo passes off her single focus to Dengar, then you can endlessly spend it with Overclocked to get an effect that's better than a mere two focus tokens.

True, and this is the version I prefer, but RecSpec does have its advantages. Dengar can take R5-P8 in this case. As long as you're not overloading Dengar with stress (Zuckuss), an Overclocked-less Dengar can take his own actions, namely barrel roll (Target Lock being somewhat redundant with Lone Wolf). RecSpec also gives Dengar at least one token to spend against the likes of Palob or Wes (with VI).
Well, I can't go the salvaged Astro route. I'm tweaking a list that has manaroo feeding tokens to xizor with a headhunter to meat shield for him.
It's fun and has been...eh...ok so far( not an immediate loss with some wins in there).
I like manaroo, I just want to try some 'not dengar' stuff with her.

Any Manaroo list without Dengar should be known as Cheataroo. I coined it it's my list now.

You can't trigger R4 after using Manaroo's ability. Manaroo just passes the focus token, she doesn't spend it. R4 only triggers when you spend a token.

This also doesn't work, because Mindlink only gives you a token if you don't already have one.

There's also the Dengaroo variant:
Dengar with Mindlink and Rec Spec, and Manaroo with mindlink and Rec Spec.
Manaroo focuses, gets 2+1 to Dengar, Dengar focuses again for two more, Manaroo passes her two tokens to Dengar and gains one for herself, for a total of five tokens on Dengar and one on Manaroo.
Mindlink. All the infinite focus fun of Glitterstims with half the stress.

You got this one wrong too. Dengar has OCR4 not Manaroo. He's talking about Dengar getting infinite focus.

Take it from me:
1.) **** the z95 and its useless underperforming ass
2.) Jm5ks make dandy meatshields while actually getting g **** done
Haven't found rec spec or double focus to be the least bit necessary though. Just int agent and feedback; done. You got a bumpmaster that flings her unused modifiers to xizor (or the third ship, a torp scout
)
In general, xizor can make anything a good meatshields so long as it isn't more expensive than him or squishier than him
Jm5ks are neither except dengar

Sorry if I was snappy. I had an argument earlier about rules and I'm still fuming from it lol
