All the TLs - Which option?

So I've got a nice list I've been having fun with but I want to make it a little better:

Col. Vessery - TIEmk2, TIE/x7, Veteran Instincts

Omega Leader - Juke, Comm Relay

Tomax Bren - Crack Shot, Extra Munitions, Guidance Chips, Homing Missiles, Proton Rockets, Ion Bombs

= 98pts.

Now, Tomax in this build is literally the definition of 'glass cannon'. He normally gets 1-2 munitions off, before dying. That leaves 7+ points left over which is a bit of a problem - but, he leaves OL & Vessery almost untouched, often giving them the upper hand in the rest of the game, as both are pretty hard to hit.

However, I still don't like those points left over. So, I came up with a few options going off the base of OL & Vessery:

Col. Vessery - TIE/x7, Veteran Instincts

Omega Leader - Juke, Comm Relay

= 60 pts.

Now, I have a few options as I can see for the final ship. Here are the ones I've thought about:

Rexler Brath - Tractor Beam, TIE/D, Crack Shot = 99pt total

Whisper - VI, ACD, FCS = 99pt total (Add Intel agent for 100pt total)

Echo - VI, ACD, FCS, Intel Agent = 98pt total

Which option is best? I can't work out whether I take the fragile Tomax who hits hard, the less easy-to-hit Rexler who can do quite a bit, or a Phantom. Is there another option that fits in well?

Edit - I could also swap out OL for the Inquisitor, and remove the ion bombs & proton rockets from Tomax. Is that viable?

Redline rather than Tomax. Vessery OL and Redline is a strong list. Really tough to figure targetting priority.

How about switching to /D Vessery with Tractor Beam to improve the shooting of his squad mates? That will help improve Bren's survivability as very few people like to let Vess live long if he is double tapping them. You might need to shave off a few points by dropping Bren's Ion Bombs perhaps.

Redline rather than Tomax. Vessery OL and Redline is a strong list. Really tough to figure targetting priority.

Tomax is actually much better than redline according to the maths.

I'm a big fan of:

Vessery (40)

-tie/d

-veteran instincts

-ion cannon

-tie mk II

Inquisitor (31)

-ptl

-autothrusters

-title

Omega Leader (26)

-juke

-comm relay

Which leaves 3 points left over. Options are to increase the mod on vessery to hull, shield, or engine upgrade. You could also slap a stealth device on omega leader instead.

I don't think you could ask for better target painters for vessery. There's also alot of anti-ace tech here. The only match up that might be difficult would be triple u-boats, but as long as you keep the inquisitor up then you should have a good chance there.
