[Spoiler?] Possible Epic Scum ship seen in Rebels Season 3 Panel Clip

By dewbie420, in X-Wing

Besides a 2-seater A-wing, I saw what looked like a Mandalorian Kom'rk-class fighter in one of the bonus clips Filoni busted out at the SWCE Rebels Season 3 Panel.

A quick googling shows it could be up to 24 meters longer than the Ghost and perhaps qualify as an Epic ship in X-wing.

I think it's Maul's sweet ride at 18:31 to 18:34 and maybe it's coming to our game. (I wouldn't be mad at you, FFG)

What do you think?

...Actually not a bad suggestion.

I attend the Rebels season 3 panel at Celebration Europe and I think that the scum epic ship will be more likely an Aurore-class freighter with 2 mining guild TIE fighters.

Time will tell...

Love the idea of FFG non-Imperial TIEs (maybe I needn't have bothered making one  ) - but not so sure about that freighter...I like most SW freighter designs, so maybe it will grow on me - at least it doesn't use those Xizor containers, which really bug me  - and I think this would be more 'interesting' than a C-ROC Goz

...would have preferred Action freighter, but guess a Rebels-inspired choice for Scum Epic is looking more & more likely

it looks on scale with the ghost.... so I dont think it would be an epic ship

and the IMHO Gozanti-class cruiser would be a much better starting point

Think you may be right...it looks like it's maybe 20-25% larger in each dimension than the Ghost, so perhaps falls into that trap of being too big for large (or it'll need another awful stand), but too small for Epic...oh well :(

...shame, as I think it looks really interesting as a 'tramp' freighter, like this:

The a wing just above it would make it to small for an epic ship

Back on subject (sorry, OP  ) - certainly looks interesting, and as an assault craft with troops kinda fits in with the new U-wing from Rogue...only thing I'm unsure of is 'board real-estate' - how big would the wingspan be compared to the e.g. the Raider, since the other epic's tend to be long/slim designs ? - and would it need a wider base than the other epics to be stable ???

Come on FFG...put us out of our misery :D ;)

Not sure if we are at cross-purposes [my fault] - when you talk about the A-wing, are your referring to the OP's video ?

...as my earlier posts referred to the Aurore-class_freighter picture link.

Sorry if I've caused confusion

As far as the Kom'rk-class fighter/transport, Wikia suggests two versions, the larger of which might be ok for Epic, except maybe re my post above about the wingspan

yes i was staying on topic with the original post

You know, the hoax a few weeks back really was quite a viable pick.

I guess that's why it made a good hoax, of course, but I appreciate the EU stuff that FFG has sourced to date just fine.

Very true. The Crusader-class Corvette would fit in very well with FFG's stated goal of adding-in more Mandalorian ships. The Crusader, or the Interceptor-class frigate (Action VI modified for battle), would both be good options for an Epic Scum ship.

I don't know why so many people want Jabba's Star Jewel. I don't think it looks all that interesting, but that's just my opinion.

Because for some people, launching one Z95 on the YV-666, or shuttle on the Ghost, or 4 TIEs on the Gozanti, just isn't enough:

;)

(not me, I hasten to add - although I would just have enough with my one rebel model  )

I'd rather it was a large ship that you could use in normal games than an Epic ship that mostly sits on the shelf and gets used to try to sell us expensive upgrade cards.

I still think we are getting the Minstrel-class cruiser, Jabba's Yacht... well before ANY SW:Rebels ships.

Whatever gets me a Scum Epic ship would make me happy.

Just as long as you can fold [or remove] the maneuvering jet 'stalks' for play...otherwise your opponent might get a little fed up with them knocking stuff over ;)

Z-95s with alternate painting and a title? interesting...

Just watched the freighter on Clone Wars today.

The Kom'rk would look so cool next to a squadron of the new Fang Fighters! That's my new hope for Scum Epic next to the Crusader Corvette.

I like the idea of Mining guild TIE Fighters. But I would much, much more prefer a BFF-1 bulk freighter. More iconic and the 4 freight containers could prove to be an interesting addition to the board. Besides it is on of the most iconic ship from the games. A lot more iconic than any TIE-Fighter or gunboats or anything else in the games imho.

I would prefer a CROC Gozanti , like the Broken Horn, to just about anything else I have seen proposed for a S&V Epic ship.

It is canon...

It is iconic...

It is about 80% similar to an existing ship, so lower engineering costs.

I do like the idea of offering it with a pair of Mining Guild TIE fighters.

it looks wider than the ghost but wingspan only, unless im looking at the wrong thing. The actual fuselage itself isnt that large in comparison.
