Corellian Conflict - Back of Package

By WhatsArmadaWithYou, in Star Wars: Armada

As has been pointed out, Lyr - there may just be "Unique" and "non-Unique", and that just happens to be a B-Wing Unique...

We havn't been able to see enough yet.

Anyone else enthused by the completion level on this packaging?

It looks production level. I wonder if they are going to pull a ninja release with these and wave 3 and thats why wave 3 is taking longer. Perhaps you need gozantis and transports for the campaign.

In any case. Mentally I have already bought one of these.

I am getting 2 of these though. I have 2 core sets and need 2 so that I have extras for new players.

I doubt it. It while possible this is a way for FFG to add a host of squadrons and add a possible new tier. If they do so it will mean some amazing possibilities for future releases. It would also support they making more campaigns or add one to the campaign with new unique squadrons and aces.

And the sacrifice for such a statement is the fact that Rogues and Villains get -nothing- for the campaign expansion....

I mean, don't get me wrong, its certainly possible... But it may not be :D

So I have not read all 5 pages yet but can anyone tell what that card on the row with the objective cards on the far right is? It has a hull value but no speed. . . Possible Station card?

Yes, there are 3 station cards in the pack

Saying "Eh, we'll get them next time" is basically akin to saying "They don't get anything"...

So either they do, or they don't.

Don't really care. Just want the **** box now.

I am seriously concerned about what will happen to my wallet if any of these products are available to buy at GenCon.

As a heads up, it looks like there is now three tiers of squadrons.

Aces,

Unique Squadrons (that B-Wing is not an Ace, has "squadron" after the initial name and no defense tokens as well as 2 blue and a black die for dogfighting)

Generic squadrons

Source? And can you pry out any more information from said source :)?

Sorry for being annoying- I'm just so excited!

This seems more like a convenient casual term for the three "types" of squadrons that we (may) see, more than official rules language/terminology. A bit of conjecture I happen to agree with.

This certainly matches what we're seeing on the box art. And it fills in something that the game could use for squadrons, which is a generic Veteran squadron set with one or two useful upgrades without a major markup. The very fragile squadrons in particular could benefit from this immensely.

Prickles the Cactus Man's got the right of it as far as I'm concerned! It lines up with what we're seeing in that little leak, and X-wing's been moving in that direction as well if I'm not mistaken. But yeah, It would be terrific, especially for people like me who sort of enjoy the idea of a few 'generic' aces without the 50-100% premium in price. I kinda wish it was a 1-3 deal given how large some of these battles may be, but I'll live with it. On the plus side, stickers.

I enhanced the image a bit but I'm not getting a ton out of it that people don't already know. Shara has a 'while performing a counter attack...' clause with Counter 3, Dagger Squadron, Ree with swarm and counter, and 'Show of force' for the green objective. So nothing new.

Kinda pointless enhancement spoiler:

:-)

I am dubious as to the purpose of the STICKERS. I hope I do not have to dirty up my game map with stickers in order to keep track of who owns what space rock.

If that is the case I will get some balsa wood and make my own tokens.

I am excited about the campaign - it's going to be terrific.

I am even more excited about the new things this brings to the standard game - new Objective Cards, 16 Squadron Cards (including Shara Bey, my favourite "Dagger Squadron" Bwings and Ciena Ree interceptor squadron shown in the photo), and new stations.

THIS IS GOING TO BE EPIC! :)

Sadly I don't have a source for my assertions. I am sure the testers are biting their lips on here but I expect an article tomorrow. It looks like they. The box made up and everything so soon for that.

The reason for my assertion that there will be 3 tiers of squadrons is because it is something FFG would do to add more depth to builds and such. I had not considered that design aspect but it matches with what I thought this product was going to be and that is something akin to the Imperial and Rebel Aces packs from X-Wing.

This is a way to entice everyone with not just new upgrades that some may just go meh on but to add something new that was not done before in a product that won't have models.

There are 16 squadron cards and base plates. I fully expect that this is a wave 1 only addition and that Rogues and Villains will some later since they are still "new".

One of the station cards is in the image albeit a bit cropped. We can see it has 8 hull points.

I see 13, but it depends if it has any shields or if its straight hull. But yeah, 13 with an AA layout that looks like 3 dice (it's staggered and we see two pips, two pips are usually side by side are they not?)

On my phone where I could zoom the image way in, it was clearly an 8. It also appears to have at least 2 and possibly 3 anti-squadron dice with a blue and a black die.

I cleared it up in photoshop a bit and I'm seeing a fairly clear 13 -shrugs-. The left hand side doesn't look rounded enough on the top and there's some gaps. Maybe it's 8, I'll go with 13. I don't want to say what that bottom colour die looks like, because that's just uncool if Photoshop's colour correct is right.

I'm not claiming clairvoyance, I'm just going by that. So it anyone can read 'blur' that'd be super great :P

So this may be a spoiler...at least until later today when San Diego Comic Con 2016 begins. Props to one of the Star Wars Armada of San Diego group members for posting.

If you don't want to see it, don't follow the link.

Good grief...

This is 2016! Can't our spies at least be equipped with a camera that's better than 1 megapixel?

They gave our spy an iPhone 1.

I can't believe that of all the people at Comic Con only 1 plays Armada.

For the unique squadrons I'm betting that we get:

X-wing = Rogue Squadron/Red Squadron

Y-Wing = Gold Squadron

B-Wing = Dagger Squadron (Though we already know that.)

A-Wing = Green Squadron

Tie Fighter = Black Squadron

Tie Interceptor = Saber Squadron

Tie Bomber = Gamma Squadron

Tie Advanced = Storm Squadron
