Super Soontir would still suck imho. You need the points for something else in your Ace list and a super soontir that is as expensive as whisper sounds not like a good plan.

I'd take a 38 point super soontir with AT/SD/TC/Mk2. Easy.

Plus a 40 point Whisper and a 22 point Bomber Buddy is a very nice list.

Echo with Adv Cloaking Device, Stygium Particle Accelerator (you know the other cloak mod nobody uses? lol), Autos, and EU.

Decloak, have evade token and potential autos. Boost for better positioning. Recloak, have evade token and LOTS of dice for Autos lol.

Ive wanted to use that mod but the free cloak action is too powerful to pass up.

Biggs with the above, hull and shield, IA and R2D2. Sure it's 45 pts. but that is one very annoying and hard to kill ship. With plenty of points for a heavy hitter or maybe a z95 missile barrage.

The second big spot would be buying autothrusters on anyone who was already buying engine upgrade - so try an autothrusters super dash, Vader (5 HP with AT suddenly goes from 'squishy' to 'help how do I kill it'), and the like. Jake newcomers tougher than soontir, if you do desire.

PTL Inquisitor suddenly speeds up a whole bunch - for one point, mk2 engines buys him 4 greens and a lot of anti-block tech.

The freebies become tasty too, of course. CG+LRS concussion missile Bombers become the new R4-level U-boats. X-wings bother looking at torpedoes again. E/2 b-wings get to look at their torp slots, too, while AT a-wings look at GC and prockets with a whole new hunger...

With the option to go max-mod , I would trick out Talonbane Cobra and grab Engine Upgrade, Auto and Vector Thrusters.

Why not give him a Hull and Shield too. I think that's 43 points.
