Which maps could you build at the same time with just one core box en 1 of each expansion. Going to run an event/tournamet this saturday with people that dont own the game coming to visit, I have serveral squads ready with command cards but wanna build several maps to play on also.

This. I'd guess at max, you could make 2 maps. If you're doing demos, you can always do a 4 player map, or even make your own custom map(s).

there might be a rare instance that you're not using one of the two big pieces and maybe you could squeeze 2 in there, but for a normal tournament, you've got one of each map at a time.

I just bought the tiles for a second core off of ebay for $10 at one point.

It allowed me to make big ziplock bags of the skirmish maps and have 2-3 maps in bags ready to go.

TC used to sell tile sets from broken down boxes but it looks like that ended.
