I just picked up armada core set. I'm not sure what expansion set to start with. Where I'm at, I am the only one with this game. I have found a few people I work with that like the game. I'm looking for something to get that what be too expensive since I will be the only with it. Any suggestions?

Just start with the learn to play book and get started, probably the way anyone who has been here for a time started. Then just add 1 of this or that as it catches your eye and maybe add the other factions equivalent as you can.

So, if you add an ISD add a Home One for example.

If you and the folks you work/game with are having fun nothing much else matters.

If you will be the only person investing in the game in your area, I would recommend going by waves. Get one of everything wave 1 ( AF, Gladiator, squadron pack of each faction), then wave two (ISD/Raider and Home one/Mc30, and a pack or two of rogues villains). Play around with all those for a while and then see what you enjoy playing with. It's a great game and it won't be too long before you find yourself waist deep in plastic spaceships
