Interesting! So that means one of two things:

1) The release date didn't change and the person manning the Upcoming page hit a button on accident (not unheard of!). Or;

2) The release date was delayed, but some distributors have already received their stock and are just saying, "screw it" (also not unheard of).

Interesting hoping for 1, but at least some of us look to be getting it by the end of the week!

Man, I might have to sit on buying this book for a while. I'm heading down to Disneyland here next monday - and that's gonna be hella expensive, and I just picked up tickets to the Seattle International Film Festival since SIFF is having a members "Best Price of the Year" sale today only. So yeah, 40 bucks for a game book? Probably a terrible idea.

Just think about how easily they could fix their shipping delays if they flipped to digital files.

There's really no point in bringing that up again. We know they legally can't, and that's unlikely to change for several years at the very least. Regardless of any valid points of how it would be better, it's not something that can happen.

If warchild can convince LFL, EA, and FFG that all of them sitting down at the same time - likely off-cycle for at least one party - to change the language of the contracts that has been in place for decades benefits them all, more power to him.

Based on what I could gathered, for those products that they already do produce PDF alternatives, they don't release those until after the physical copies have already hit the shelves. So unless they changed their policies, PDFs wouldn't speed up the release process... save for those unable to purchase books within the continental US. *pours one out for our European brothers and sisters*

I think I've figured out what happened.

As we've all noticed over the years, every so often the "Latest update" field on products will change to the current date, even when no actual update on the production status has occurred. I noticed that this field is currently set as 10/10/2017, which is not the original date of the update. Originally, Ghosts went to Shipping Now on 09/29/2017.

I'm thinking what happened is that the system did an auto-update that caused one of those phantom date-shifts. And I'm also thinking that the US Release Date is linked in some fashion to the update date, so when it shifted, the release date automatically shifted along with it.

Do I have proof? Nah, not really. Except for Nytwyng's Amazon order! It seems to track with my hypothesis!

Hehe...I’ve checked the order status so much today that my “related to items you’ve searched” has changed from being mostly Twin Peaks (two of the last three purchases I’ve made) to all SWRPG.

So I don't know if this will do anything for your numbers - and until I get it in my hands, it's just conjecture anyway - but my FLGS says that they should be getting Ghosts tomorrow.

That does help! More confirmation means more certainty! My own FLGS didn't have it in stock awaiting street date, but they do get shipments on Thursdays, so it could show up tomorrow.

Okiedokie then, I shall check in with you (actually, brag like no tommrow) if they come through with Ghosts.

This is making me crazy. Summary screen still reads “shipping now,” while detail screen says, “shipping soon.” Both still indicate delivery tomorrow.

Just show me actual shipping information, and I’ll be happy.

Well, we've got our confirmation: Ghosts of Dathomir was actually delayed to the 19th. The weekly update of things now in Stock has already happened. Savage Spirits and the Age Beginner Game are In Stores Now , but Ghosts is not.

I'm a casual, very poor SWLCG player, and I'm very upset that the new pack is still On the Boat, despite many things behind it in the queue jumping ahead to Shipping Now.

And it makes me super sad because the pack looks like it might have Lak Sivrak in it...aw.

So I am starting to maybe feel a smidgen of what Ghosts lovers have been for a while.

Yeah, Ghosts was announced a year ago Friday. When the release date was today, we could at least say it technically didn't take a full year. Now it has. Bleerg.

And, if the brick and mortar stores didn’t get it today, I’m far less upset that I got a work assignment that prevented me from playing hooky today (which I’d planned to do to be at the FLGS when it opened...and because I just need a breather from work).
