I humbly shoulder this heavy burden! Of course if someone else beats me to it I won't complain. If the shop does indeed get it on Friday I should be back home with it around midday central US time and I can start on those specs.

This is so unfair. I was at my local game store today, and the book didn't even exist in their supplier's database yet. Looks like us Europeans are getting screwed on delivery again.

I'd like to guess that Arbiter will get a couple of ranks in Supporting Evidence and maybe Congenial. Teacher may have at least Encouraging Words, and possibly Natural Instructor and/or Master Instructor.

Sadly more chanting is required I was a bit skeptical the book would be in almost a full week early but I let myself get suckered by that pesky optimism. No book today, it'll be in Thursday which is the scheduled release.

Darn. Oh well, can't say I'm surprised . We'll just have to wait then; I can't remember the last time we didn't have SOMEONE spoil a book for us, so even if you have to wait with the rest of us, at least you get to watch the show with us .

Although I notice another unfortunate notch in a trend: books are often released on a week with a holiday on a Monday. And when they are, even when release day is a Thursday, my FLGS doesn't get them in until Friday. I have to wait an entire 'nother day ! </coreworldproblems>

I would not be surprised if the shop I ordered from winds up getting it in on Friday instead of the Thursday too. The FaD game I'm running meets tomorrow and I was hoping to surprise the players with it and maybe spark a little extra last minute inspiration. Ah well, c'est la vie.

Okay! We've gotten the official release article for Disciples of Harmony , and for those who haven't noticed there's some initial Spoilers going on on the FaD board. I'm gonna take this one off, meaning we're left with Ghosts of Dathomir and Fully Operational as our only upcoming books.

I'll update the first post in a second, but updated predictions! FO is unlikely to be any earlier than August 31. And as for Ghosts , well...I have absolutely no idea. I'm waiting to see if it changes status with today's Upcoming page update. If it doesn't...I'm gonna say July until we see it, at the earliest. I know, I know, not very precise, but honestly? What more can I do here? It's already a record setter for longest...every stage of production (although FO has now broken it's record for longest time In Development ), so I just can't determine when it'll change. I can keep guessing, but this book seems determined to elude me.

I guess we should have figured this book would be cursed when we found out it was about a cursed statue, huh !

Now with the release of DoH begins the Coin-flip between Mystic and Warrior.

I almost feel like ghosts was intentionally delayed so as two books wouldn't be out at the exact same time.

Ah. but we've had books come out almost right on top of each other - That was an expensive month for me - so it's not necessarily unheard of to get double down releases.

In March of last year, Nexus of Power and Special Modifications came out one week apart. It's not like it's unprecedented, and SM sold out almost immediately at that time. So unfortunately, I'm not buying that explanation.

Possibly it's because they are in the same game line. 2 FaD books within a week would be silly, especially when the next is at least 6 months away. Better to delay the less popular for a little and have more time to spend on the next product.

That might be it, the two books being the same line could be the differentiating factor.

But if that's the case, know what they could have done? Released Ghosts a month ago! Problem solved !

Hmm...you know, it's possible we may not get a new announcement this month, either. Normally I'd think we would, but seeing as the previous announcement, Fully Operational , is still, unbelievably, languishing In Development , we might not get a new one until that changes.

I hope that's not the case. But it's possible.

But what would be your scheduling assumption for that third region book (or "mystery" book) for EotE?

If FFG is focused on getting the career books out first then the third Edge of the Empire regional sourcebook might be out in the second half of 2018.

The title of that book should be Hives of Scum and Villainy or I am a charlatan.

Hopefully? Soon. I doubt it'll be the next announcement, but it could potentially be the one after that. I don't think we'll go more than two without it popping up.

Of course, with the current announcement rate, that could be as late as October before it shows up. Hopefully we'll get another awesome string of one announcement per month coming up here soon, and we won't have to wait that long .

I like the idea behind that title, but it's a bit wordy. Every region book so far has been the "X of X" book. So Suns of Fortune, Lords of Nal Hutta, Strongholds of Resistance, Nexus of Power. " Hives of Scum and Villainy " is a bit long. I would, however, think that the abbreviated " Hives of Villainy " would work just fine . And I have always been in favor of a Shadowports book, so count me in!
