Bought the Force Awakens Box for the dice and the map. Still trying to figure out if I regret it or not.

Same here and I do regret it. I was thinking it would be a standard 34 by 22 inch map (same convention as miniature games).

So many people asked for that map, though. I'm happy they included it - heck, I'll probably frame it.

For all it's worth...

* Sigh *

Moving Ghosts of Dathomir back to at least April 20. I am now fully expecting some additional delays (I believe Chinese New Year was mentioned as a possible reason for the printing delay) before the release, so we're probably actually going to be looking at a minimum of May before release. But I'm going to be optimistic again, for some stupid reason.

Sorry if I'm extra grouchy today, it's my least favorite day of the year...

I despise this day as well; so as far as I'm concerned, you don't need to apologize for being grouchy.

I'm grouchy every day of the year. And hey, I hope you don't let this holiday created entirely to drive consumerism get you down.

I was like that up until the last 3 valentine's day, previously known to me as singles awareness day, now it's a romantic day for me and my wife (not terribly romantic this year since she had to work the night shift at the hospital, but I got her flowers and a giant teddy bear, giant meaning a little bigger than a typical 8 year old), yes she wanted a giant teddy bear, she grew up poor in a third world country (Peru) and had always wanted a giant teddy bear since she was a little girl. She got me a card and fancy lindor truffles chocolates in a heart shaped box, the card was way more important to me because of what she wrote in it.

Awwww, that's so sweet!

And I know it wasn't your intention, but that actually makes me feel worse...

But on to more Trendy, Statistician-y topics: today is the last day for a new announcement for February, so let's hope for a surprise! It's also looking like I'm going to have to push back Disciples of Harmony , too - it's getting beyond the standard range for the In Development stage...

And Ghosts ! Werewolf the Forsaken*, girl! You are now the record-holder for the longest time both In Development and At the Printer , and we're still going? We may have a new contender for longest release time! And I thought SoR would hold that title for the entire line...

* WTF; i.e. "What the..." Ahem. You know what it means ;) ...

Sorry about that... but since we used to feel the way you do, and we're both past the average age of marrying (as in all our friends in the same age group were already married, wait I have one friend in my age group who is still not married so I consider him to be an outlier... you may now him on these boards as trampgraphics, he has a very particular argumentative there are two ways to do things my way and the wrong way personality that most people don't tolerate very well, be he seems to have mellowed slightly in the last 8 years since life has curb stomped him repeatedly, so I think he's learned to bend slightly to avoid breaking quite so easily/frequently)

That means there's hope for you too. My wife has repeatedly said that for many years she thought God forgot to make someone for her, but looking back we met each other pretty much at the exact moment we were both ready to meet each other. BTW we met on eharmony, I was on eharmony 4 years she was on for 2 weeks, I had gotten frustrated that it was taking so long, but i'm glad that none of my previous relationships worked out because otherwise I wouldn't have met my wife. We click so remarkably well... she was looking for a Christian white guy who could dance salsa (other criteria too), because the latinos she had dated in the past cheated on her, and her friends were telling her that the guy she was looking for didn't exist. And she's got far more of my "shopping list" of traits for a wife than I ever thought I would find in a single person.

Point of this... eharmony's personality matching test works awesomely, I clicked with the large majority of people that they matched me with, but just because two people have compatible personalities doesn't meant that they are right for each other. The "down side" is they pretty much don't match you with people don't click with, so I had very few LOCAL matches. I was in New Mexico, my wife was in Nebraska, but we clicked like I never clicked with any other person in my life. Our first phone call was on a Saturday night, after I got off the phone I started get nervous, my stress level slowly started to rise, and by Sunday night/Monday morning I was seriously stressed out and I didn't know why because it was a completely foreign experience to me, i'm the type of guy who just doesn't stress. That Monday morning driving to work, I figured out why I was stressing out so badly, I was afraid of not having her in my life. That's how much we clicked, of course it took me a bit longer for me to convince her that I was the right guy for her.

So long and short of this is, you might want to try eharmony but if you do, you have to be patient, in my experience it takes a long time (years) to work, but once it does, it's does so incredibly awesomely, and now we are expecting our first child. Yay

Here -> her

I'd love to try it, but eHarmony is straight-people-only.

Come on now, Elias, think about what thread this is. Do you really think that I wouldn't thoroughly exhaust every available option?

Anyway, back to statistics, huh? Surprisingly, after re-calculating, I don't have to push Disciples of Harmony back just yet. We've still got some time, and if it goes to the printer soon, I may even be able to move the prediction up! But Ghosts is still screwed. Like, a lot. Hopefully you weren't waiting on it!

Why would today be the last day that an announcement could happen in February? There's still another full week of it left, right?

We've had this discussion before, but all except two books have been announced in the first half of the month. The average announcement day is approximately the 10th, and except for Stay on Target and Lead by Example , every book was the 16th or earlier.

So, since 92.86% of books are the 16th or earlier, and 7.14% are after the 16th, it's a very good bet that there will be no announcements after the 16th. Right :) ?

It may be an odd bit of additional stuff, but have you considered how many complete weeks are in a month?

I only ask because today I had a conversation today: normally, an event happens every third Thursday of the month. Today (16/2/2017) is the third Thursday, but because the 2nd was a Thursday, the event won't take place until the 23rd. In reality, the event takes place every third week of every month, on a Thursday.

Could some of those odd dates happen because the month starts on a Wednesday or Thursday, and they want to announce something on the second week of the month, but it aligns later than usual?

If you follow my logic.

Only 7.14 percent of SoT and LbE will come out after the 16th. Meaning: Expect the last two or three pages to come out a few days after the rest of the books. ;)

God, I love extrapolating.

^ This is exactly how it works.

I saw that!

Unfortunately, no, it doesn't change anything; the only thing that changes anything is going from one production step to another, and last I checked we're still In Development for Disciples of Harmony. I'm also not entirely sure how thrilled I am with the talents in the Teacher, but we'll see, I guess.

It is not a mystic... so you dont care lol...

No, it's just that that book was announced at the beginning of January, so the article appearing doesn't change stats :P ! Only a new book announcement or a change in production status does!

I was refering to the teacher talents...they aren't mystic talents...so you dont care lol

Whats your prediction for next book announcement? I predict age book next. Which one do you think?

Edited by Daeglan

The next two books are Force & Destiny so the next unannounced book should be an Age book unless FFG blindsides us totally and announces either a FaD or Edge regional book.

I'm pretty sure it'll be Age, too. It's gone a long time without an upcoming book, we have two upcoming Force books at the moment, and we just got an Edge book. So...yeah. If it's NOT Age, then...well, Werewolf the Forsaken!

And it looks like we got the Bounty Hunter spec decks already! Odd that we skipped the Technician decks, unless, like the Guardian ones again, they're released but not on the products page. I bet that's it. *Sigh*, they LOVE messing with me, don't they? Either way, I've added the BH spec decks to the product listing in the first thread.

I still can't shake the feeling that Age is the neglected line. I'm sure part of it is how barren the Age section of the forums seems, but also the Age products just generally don't seem as well done as those for the other lines.

Definitely. There is some nice content there, but it seems everyone revels in the Edge or FaD themed games while war is tacked onto those games rather than being the core theme.
