Trends, Statistics, and Predictions!

Yep, it's one of those announcements that doesn't say much at all. I suppose we should just be grateful that it wasn't another Brian Whatshisname article. Hopefully they realised how badly those wound us up.

You'll get way more out of me with Morena Baccarin

Who?

<googles>

Ooh. Marcy like.

From a MarcyVerse perspective, I'm expecting to have to chop this one up more than usual, seeing as how Dathomir is Ground Zero for the Jedi/Alliance war. From what I've read of Jerserra, I'm tempted to replace her with our own Force-sensitive masked psychopath, Corellia Red (which will be interesting if her player plays their F&D character, as happened in Jewel of Yavin with Kaiya...). The Hutt stuff can probably remain, but the Empire has no reason for being there for us.

(walks off muttering cryptic GM stuff to herself...)

And, as always, I love hearing about the MarcyVerse :) . And from what I know about Red, she seems to fit the bill near perfectly!

EDIT: And yes, Ms. Baccarin is very nice to look at ;) ...

Hell, all of the ladies of the good ship Serenity are easy on the eyes...

Firefly-Women.jpg

This is very, very true...

*crushes on River and Kaylee*

And all just as stunning in person. :D

(Jewel Staite is the only actress I've ever dropped the cash for a formal photo op with.)

Kaylea on the streets, Inara in the sheets :P

When I first recall seeing Morena, she was on “ Stargate SG-1 ” as “ Adria ”, and so she didn’t have quite the same impact on me when I saw her as “ Inara ” in “ Firefly ” and “ Serenity ” re-runs.

Ugh... Ghosts of Dathomir has now exceeded the current record for longest time In Development . It was Savage Spirits at 63 days, but now Ghosts had grown to 66 days and counting...

Hmmm, Ghosts breaks the record for longest development time at the same time that The New Day breaks the record for longest reigning WWE World Tag Team Champions. Coincidence? I think not.

Hey! - that's the Diana from the remake of V from a couple of years ago. Dear lord that was a terrible, terrible series.

Not to mention Leslie Thompkins on Gotham. She stole every scene she was in when first introducted. But the contortions and contrivances that the show goes through is even killing that spark she provides.

Darn, looks like I was a bit overzealous with my predictions for No Disintegrations . Gonna have to push back my date. I'm going to push it back two weeks (to January 19th) for now, and hopefully I can move it back up to the 12th if we start shipping next week *crosses fingers*.

We can only hope the button pusher that changes product statuses is on holiday.

If the person who pushes the button is on holiday the the persons who loads the boxes of books onto the truck are likely also on holiday. But if the person who pushes the button was just out sick, then the persons who load the trucks would probably still be loading the trucks.

I would say your logic has no place here, but this is the ideal thread for using logic.

Not necessarily. Many people and departments where I work have been closed down for a week, while others have continued to chug along.

Quick! Someone derail the thread before the logic overwhelms us!

Easy. the Infinite Improbability Drive in the Heart of Gold. :D

An illogical reply to thread that needed derailment I think our job is done.

If I may propose a theory, when one looks at things GoD was announced about two weeks before the release of EV. Other than the long wait for ND, we've got nothing for AoR openly in the pipeline, and nothing new for EotE either. Thus they may have announced it earlier than usual to restrain the baying mob going into Christmas (especially since we've seen no sign of ND coming soon).

But I'm probably wrong, and our own statistician is probably about to shoot me down like an overweight Rebel pilot.

"I have you now!" </darthvader>

But no, actually, it makes sense. Something similar appears to have happened with Savage Spirits - it was In Development for a long time, and it was announced on January 7, 2016. Not exactly the same, but I'm sure it filled a needed void for something to be "upcoming."

In fact, Savage Spirits was the only upcoming item for quite a while in early-mid 2016,so...yeah. We may be looking at an unfortunate dearth of new announcements coming up :( ...

Well that sucks, especially since they're basically just keeping us hanging on in the expectation of new content rather than genuinely expanding, or supporting the already-existing material.

Still, we've now got ND on the boat and GoD in the pipeline, both placed for early-but-not-too-early next year. I assume the new year will bring something new for AoR, once GoD is out in stores, since they seem to be angling for early-mid January at this point.

Hey, look! There we go!

Ghosts of Dathomir is now showing as At the Printer !! Doing a quick recalculation, that puts us, most likely, at a March 23 release. So it got us a week closer than my current prediction, although I only put it at March 30 in the first place because things were taking so long...

Anyway! Yay, progress! Hopefully we'll see No Disintegrations start shipping tomorrow or Thursday, too!

EDIT: Also, huzzah! I was the first person to notice and got to update my own thread with the news, for once! Yay!

Now we just need something else in development to slake our endless nerd thirst
