Of course they're doing it to mess with me! I've revealed their secrets one time too many! They're after me, I tells ya!

What? Don't look at me like that! It's only paranoia if I'm wrong!

I have a suspicion that we're not seeing it because the current status is something like On the Boat , and they don't want to ruin the surprise that it's coming out real soon...
Now you're really teasing me!
They must have a company wide announcement schedule, and probably a single person responsible for clicking the publish button. So I wonder how much their schedule plays into the dates product is announced.
Okay, something's definitely going on!
What if the one person that has the password to update the list is on vacation?

It's probably just Password1 anyway.

Nah...12345.
Which is, coincidentally, the same combination on my luggage.

if they even have a button. I would bet you diamonds to doughnuts that it's an automated process with little to no human intervention.
I don't care how automated a process is. It begins with someone, somewhere, pushing a button.

You sound as if you believe computers make sense!

Computers following predefined sets of rules... the people who make up those rules don't always have the most logical thought processes.

Musta pushed a lot of buttons typing those rules.

In theory, yes. But there's a universe of factors that influence that behavior. Good for me, though, or I'd be out of a job!
Okay, right on schedule! Endless Vigil has gone to Shipping Now , which means that we are on target for the predicted October 20 release! I'll update the first post, too...
Sorry I've not been keeping the thread up, folks, I've been...indisposed, after a fashion. Plus not much has been happening. We finally got our Edge announcement so it's not like there's much to gripe about*, and everything else was going more or less as expected, so...
Anyways, happy Vigil-ing! I know I can't wait!
* I'm still exceptionally suspicious of the fact that No Disintegrations still is not showing on the Upcoming page. If we don't see it by the end of the week, I'm going to contact someone at FFG about it, because it is bugging the everloving...out of me! >_<
EDIT: Quick update on Friends Like These , as well. We've been At the Printer for 24 days now. The longest time I've tracked was Savage Spirits ' 27 days. So I'm thinking we should see it move to being On the Boat either by the end of this week, or early next week. A longer print run was factored into my initial prediction from when we hit the printer, so this doesn't actually change the expected release date.
P.S. Also, because I'm having fun, and it's the only creative thing I have to share, those of you who want to read a short-ish, moderately-interesting modern-fantasy story about dragons can PM me. I'd love to be able to share my creativity publically on the forum, but I can't draw so I have nothing to contribute to the Artwork thread, and it's not Star Wars so posting a new thread would be rude. So I'm hi-jacking part of my already-extant thread to do a little advertising >_< ... I'm not a bad person, I promise...

But . . . but what if there is a computer that pushes the button on the computer to publish content?

But how do you tell the first computer to push the button on the second computer? O_O
Mind = Blown
I'm feeling very antsy about No Disintegrations not being on the Upcoming page . . . been waiting so long for it that I feel I need the confirmation it's in the design/print/ship process somewhere at the very least!
But how do you tell the first computer to push the button on the second computer? O_O
It’s called “Machine Learning”.
You have the third computer tell the second computer. Duh.
...But then how...oh, wait, I have a feeling I know the answer already...
It’s turtles all the way down.

Easy, 4 lines of yaml and they go do their own thing.

But then you have to have a yaml parser and something to run the playbooks.
Umm...uhh...hey y'all, look! A new book announcement! Or something! >_<
Whatever it is, is clearly NOT a distraction to get us away from the computers conversation!
Edited by Absol197What if the humans pushing the buttons are just simulations in a computer.... BOOM!!!
