The cartoons, starting with Tartakovsky and going into Filoni, are the things that won me over on the era.
Though the pilot "movie" to Clone Wars is godawful, and the 1st season takes a little to find its legs.
Excited for the short revival. Clone Wars had a few good stories left in it that sadly were missed. The last episode was a reasonable (and ominous) capstone, but there were too many other story threads hanging.
I'm stoked for the book, and glad to see they're finally going with probably the most fan-expected era. I expect sequel era next, with more region books in between.

I highly doubt they'll give us a full ST-era book until after Episode IX is out. Even the TFA Beginner Box is "TFA" branded not era branded.
True, but they also started working on Dawn of Rebellion well before Rebels was finished running. I only say sequel era because I can't really imagine them doing any other prominent era book that slots into the current canon timeline.
The Old Republic is a possible candidate by sheer popularity, but that's solely the purview of the old EU at the moment. I don't see that happening under current conditions, sadly.

Im wondering where the other region books are....
We might see a region book for each line. The Edge book will hopfully cover Outer Rim/shadowports/the worst tourist traps in the galalxy.
The Age might cover Imperial world, both loyalist and subjugated as well as a few juicy military targets.
The Force book might cover the best vacation spots in the galaxy.

They may have simply given up on that whole set of books. Perhaps they did not sell well, perhaps they ran out of ideas, perhaps the writers just ran out of creative juice. The Era books cover some locations, and a lot more content besides, and Dawn of Rebellion as a proof of concept did very well, so it is quite possible that that is where they are focusing all their energies, to the exclusion of anything else.

It’s my understanding that, in the Q&A at GenCon, FFG stated that era and region books are what to expect in the future.

Ah, good to hear they are planning to keep up on doing both. I haven't seen any sort of deep detail on the GenCon panel, so stuff like that has somewhat passed me by completely.

Nothing in the panel itself (for SW or Genesys), but they did come up in the audience Q&A.
I'd love some more specialized sector books. I don't exactly expect it to happen, but Corporate Sector would be nice.
Hopefully the online retailers have their copies of Cyphers and Masks to ship out tomorrow. I never did break up my four book order at Miniature Market. That will be a nice few days of reading to catch up on!

Lords of nal hutta was awesome. I'm hoping that they do the corporate sector or tapani sector. Of course they may get more return on their setting book buck is they make cross game setting books, setting books with plothooks for EotE AoR and FaD. I mean how hard is it to work Force Sensitive npcs who have been hiding out have some interesting military asset knowledge leftover from the clone wars

Not that you're counting ?
I really hope they make a Corporate Sector book next, since I'm working on an Expanse inspired campaign set in that sector.
I won't be ready to GM it for several months, so if the books already in the works, it could get released before I start.
But if it's not the next thing to be announced, I doubt it'll get here fast enough
I fear that the Corporate Sector is going the way of Bothans.

I would buy that book twice.

I'm still hoping that they cover Tatooine by way of a book on shadow ports throughout the galaxy, but we'll see.

I would be surprised if Arkanis is on the radar, considering the very small amount of canon references.

ummmm You do realize The Arkanis sector is where Tatooine is right? And Geonosis, And where the Death Star was built...Tatooine is in how many movies?
When it comes to region books people should temper their expectations on time frames. Since Disney pumped the brakes on the anthology films, I doubt very much in the short term if they would green light any kind of content they might be looking to explore in upcoming films. I did read the Live TV show by Favereau is going to based around Mandalore, and since that's due out next fall that could be a possibility.
