...But then how...oh, wait, I have a feeling I know the answer already...

What - you mean a fourth computer? Don't be ridiculous! That would be silly. No, the first computer simply pushes the third computers button!

But then you have to have a yaml parser and something to run the playbooks.

But the result is that no buttons got pushed!

But buttons have to get pushed to create the yaml parser, the playbooks, and the four lines of yaml to start with.

Wouldn't that be the computational equivalent of being your own grandpa? May explain why No Disintegrations hasn't been posted yet, lack of delta algorithms can't do swell things to that first computer's ability to process.

*sigh*

Happiness is Mandatory!

The second arc of our campaign is called 'Deus Ex Machina' and concentrates on the droid uprising, as I felt 'droid rights' was one of the great untold stories in SW, and is the focus of a few PCs.

I now believe that a thread like this one is what started the uppity rustbucket's rebellion in the first place.

Happiness is Mandatory Mandalorian!

There, fixed that for you. ;)

You kids are infuriating... stop pressing MY buttons. It's talk like this that causes sky net to keeping being recreated and me having to keep destroying it.... do you even know how tough time travel is on the body? It's why I have to keep being my own grandpa so my grandson/self can destroy the next skynet. It's a viscous never ending cycle, just once i'd like skynet to stay dead. Is that too much to ask? :D

You do know that I actually worked for Skynet from 1998 to 2001, right? ;)

In this time line sure, but what about all the others? This one has been harder to destroy than the others.

You kids

A few of us...ahem...elders...would like to have a word with you once you've finished your juice, young one.

Technically because of the time travel and cyclical destruction of skynet and being my own grandpa, i've lived many more lifetimes/years than you, although if you're only counting this iteration you maybe a little older than my current incarnation.

Okay, getting us back on topic!

I have some...interesting news. This requires two assumptions: 1) That my guess that No Disintegrations is actually further along the development track that it's announcement indicates is wrong (this assumption is easy); 2) That once the book goes to being At the Printer , it will show up on the upcoming page (this one is harder).

If these assumptions are correct, then the book arriving before the end of Q4 2016 is actually starting to look unlikely. Even if the status changes very soon, with approximately four weeks At the Printer , then another six On the Boat , followed by 2.5 Shipping Now , we'll be just into January by the time it gets to stores.

So, let's hope I'm right about it being sprung on us as a quick-release because otherwise, it'll be a bit of a wait.

EDIT: Okay, I've also sent a message to the FFG team, just in case it is actually an oversight and not a sinister plot.

I know that printing and shipping is outside of FFG's control, but man they must be pissed at just missing the Christmas sales rush. Assuming of course that your calculations are correct.

Are...are you implying my calculations might be INcorrect?

I am offended, sir! Wounded! Impugned! If I was in possession of a white glove, you should need to watch for it striking your face!

Um, um. . .

Your webbed fingers preventing proper quoting there? Time-traveling to be your own grandfather over and over surely isn't good for your gene pool.

New Statistics Alert: We have our first (unconfirmed) report of someone receiving their copy of Endless Vigil in the mail. Please view this thread for additional details as this story develops.

Seeing as this is nearly two weeks before the expected release date, there is a possibility that the book will ship a week faster than is typical, with a release date this Thurday, October 13. While this is unlikely, if this book receipt is confirmed it will, at least, be a possibility.

We now return you to your regularly scheduled thread...

UPDATE: It has been confirmed that the book sighted was not Endless Vigil as initially reported, but rather a copy of the less-elusive Savage Spirits . We thank you for your time as we bring this story to a close.

There WAS a time that my online retailer wasn't respecting street dates and for a couple months there I was getting new books a week before anyone else, so it's not unheard of for someone to get their mitts on a book quite early.

The repeat is a temporal anomaly (time hick up), that's actually a rather rare temporal anomaly, usually it's more like how I explained it to yogi berra "it's deja vu all over again."

By the way the genetic degradation thing is the reason why i'm my own grand father not my own father, the correct mates for me and my son does a lot to counter balance the genetic degradation, it started to get problematic after the first 10 cycles, but time travel back to the original time line to find the correct original mates was able to stabilize things. Of course that means the original me was genetically different than the current me, but the current me's DNA hasn't changed in the last 153 or so iterations. About 867 iterations ago my son/father rebelled against choice of the woman I selected as my daughter in law/mother, and that poor choice on his part on that one iteration took a while to work itself out of my genome.

Hey, would you look at that! Friends Like These has just gone On the Boat !

That doesn't change my predicted release - we're still expecting December 08 - but it is nice to see movement! That was a long(er) one!

Still no sign of No Disintegrations on the Upcoming page, though...I'm not paranoid but...

EDIT: As always, I have updated the predictions in the first post of this thread, so you can view them all in a nice, easily-accessible place :) !

So Ghosts of Dathomir is the next book, and it looks like SWF40.

Ahem:

EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!1!!!1!

Yay, new Force book! And while I was wrong about it being the missing career book, I was only off by a day on when it was announced!

Okay, give me a moment to update my charts, then I'll get an initial prediction out and update the first post...

EDIT: Also, can I gripe about something real quick? I check the news page about four or five times an hour, often once every five minutes. Why does someone else ALWAYS see the new announcement and post here before I do?! It's seriously starting to get annoying :P !

Looks like I'll be putting off my group's trip to Dathomir for a few months....

So excited!!!

I have a hold on Friends Like These and No Disintegrations at my FLGS, because I am not missing out on these!
