Imperial small-base ship BESIDES a TIE?

Delta-class Stormtrooper Transport:

A heavily armored ship with plenty of crew slots, torpedoes, mines, and possibly an ion canon.

A more aggressive take on the Lambda-shuttle role, that introduces the Team upgrades for standard play, as well as being able to be used offensively, as a suporrt ship, or for area control/denial.

3/1/4/4. Focus, Target Lock, Reinforce.

Torpedo, Torpedo, Crew, Crew, Crew, Team

Title that allows it to equip one ion cannon and "one Action:" bomb, and deals 1 damage to enemy ships it is touching at the beginning of the combat phase.

This ship would be a great opportunity to add boarding mechanics, even if just something like this:

That's a party I want in on.

Zero-G stormtrooper assault!

CUV-1 Combat utility vehicle:

A disarmed ship whose task is to assist, refill, repair, and recover friendly pilots in the front lines.

It introduces regen to the Empire, giving a boost of survivability, at the cost of not bringing any weapons itself. It can be seen as a small-base answer to the rebel GR-75, able for standard play.

5(Energy)/2/3/3. Focus, Barrel Roll, Recover

Crew, Cargo.

Title: Allows it to perform a Recover action that affects one friendly ship at range 1 instead of itself. During the End phase, one friendly ship that is touching the CUV-1 may flip up one upgrade card, or discard one damage card.

I would love to see a CUV!

As far as small fighters, I think Skipray Blastboats were used by the Empire, and Preybirds were at least in use by the Imperial Remnant...

25m long is a bit big for a small base though, when it comes to the Skipray.

I remember the Delta Class from Xwing! I'd play that or the First Order transport.

Well, that's why you scale it down so it's a few cm rather than 25m, duh.

(Just kidding. Perfectly valid point.)

Maybe the roleplaying game overestimated how long it needs to be to seat 3 people? If the HWK got downsized compared to the figures the tabletop games gave, maybe a "newcanon Skipray" could be closer to Y-wing length?

I think the most likely options are a tie between the XG-1 Starwing (missile boat) because it is so popular, and the V-Wing because it is cannon (I'm not sure if the fact that it should have a new imperial only astromech slot helps or hurts it).

There is also an outside chance we might get Vader in his black ACTIS-II interceptor because it is cannon and would look SOOO bad-ass, but the fact that Vader is the only believable pilot makes it difficult. I guess they could stretch things and put some more inquisitors in there, but definitely no generics.

Yeah, it's plausible that Vader could've handed his Eta-2 Actis down to the Grand Inquisitor or just into the Inquisitorius' general vehicle pool after getting his TIE Advanced. But that's a lot of high PS for a single rare ship. I think they'd need to create a new "unique ship" rule saying that you can only run a single Actis no matter which pilot you put in it.

The V-wing and ARC-170 were both in widespread use up to at least 5 years into the Imperial era (as seen in "Tarkin" and "Lords of the Sith", where V-wings were so standard that Vader and the Emperor had them rather than TIEs as escorts), which is when the first TIE squadrons came into service. But 3 years later in "A New Dawn" TIEs were the only fighters on Rae Sloane's Star Destroyer. Whether that was the case everywhere by 8 years into the Empire remains to be seen.

Why? Ties are perfect.

If it has to be something then Eta-2 or missile boat (never gun boat).

I'd probably say make it a team upgrade, for starters as it would work well for Epic games and second if the transport here was the first small ship to use team upgrades it would be more stand out I think. Besides I'd probably limit the transport to only 1 or 2 crew depending on the price since we/they wouldn't want to effectively create a cheaper palpmobile.

Am I just crazy?
