I checked my Target today, but couldn't find them. I asked, and the guy found the shelf tag, scanned it and said they had sold out 220 days ago. Which means they didn't last long after being released in September. I did notice that if they had any, they would have been $11.98.
Not that I needed another one, but dangit.

The great Target core set purge of 2016 is happening! Just picked up several TFA core sets for $11.98. YMMV as some Targets still have them priced at either 19.98 or 27.98 depending on the location.
Check www.brickseek.com go to the target search and look up sku 087-10-1337 to find them near you and to see what the price is. If the price is still 27 or 19, just keep watching it. They should drop in the next week or two.

Was watching this site for a few days, noticed one near me was at $20, and now listed at @12 - drove out to the store and they are all still marked at $28 (and scan at $28) with more on the shelf than the site claimed, so definitely not a sure thing.

Someone mentioned Target did the mark-downs on Thursdays, so I went back yesterday and they were indeed marked down to $12. Picked up 3 and then posted the link in a local FB group so others could jump in the deep end...
there are two targets in my town.
one has them at $20 and lots of stock, the other has them at $12... they had 9, now they have 4. (5 with tax was only $65)
i already have enough t-70s, tie/fos, damage decks, and dice. ...
i just thought it would be cool to gift a core set to people that i teach/introduce the game to.

In the Raleigh area, they go fast at $11.99. The stocker told me they're store dependent (one Target had them for 12 and were out; his had them for 20 and had many). He also said, if I want, purchase them at 20, hold them a week or so, and come back when they're 12 and they'll give me the difference. Sad thing is, in North Raleigh, and having a wife and three daughters, Target is a stop often made. So, I'm gonna give it a go with a few sets .....I mean 12 bucks for three ships, what?!? Yes, the addiction.
