Auxiliary Arcs are better on small bases than on large bases

When using a Firespray, often an enemy will be chasing it. That's fine, you want that.

But since the Firespray is a large base, it has to move a minimum of 3 distance forward. This means that you end up moving toward the board edge or a corner and you'll have to turn away and likely be without a shot.

You'll have to do less of this with a small base because they move one less distance.

Even though the moves are red, the 1-turn and SLoop on the Tie/SF is a big bonus, especially if you have Advanced Sensors equipped.

Still, it will be interesting to see how the 2 agility comes into play, especially with only 2 attack dice.

tie/sf aux arc is pretty dang bad

granted, it's infinetly better than having no aux arc (on the same ship; not necessarily over all ships), but it's 2 dice and not particularly impressive

unless of course you're talking about "backdraft." Backdraft hits harder than a firespray (sans tail gunner) for 6 points cheaper than the bounty hunter

the ARC has it a little better than non-backdrafts with the free focus --> crit mod and possibility of tail gunner, not to mention bb-8 to be a slippery bastard indeed

Dunno .. two dice + Accuracy Corrector is more reliable than three dice, especially if you can line up front & rear shots.

Depends on your definition of "reliable" two dice+focus/TL is 2.25 average* damage to Accuracy Corrector's constant two. And without an evade action, AC isn't giving you as strong an action economy, especially with only two green dice (compared to the Tie Advanced, that is).

Also, lining up both shots is a pipe dream, frankly.

lining two different targets in two different arcs is definitely asking for a lot

I would love to parallel park a TIE/sf up against something like an opposing shuttle or firespray.

Two three dice attacks, well thank you very much.

Of course the chances of pulling that off are ... small.
