Crate Supply Cards

By TheFettIsBack, in Imperial Assault Campaign

This may or may not be a silly question, can heroes keep the supply cards and reserve them for the next mission or do they always need to be shuffled back into the supply deck after each mission?

Thanks,

Fett

Rules Reference Guide under "Supply Cards" the are shuffled back into the deck.

3. Post-Mission Cleanup: After resolving the mission, players

perform the following:

-- All wounded heroes flip their hero sheets to their healthy side. Then heroes recover all damage (damage) and strain (strain).

-- Heroes shuffle all of their Supply cards back into the Supply deck.

-- Heroes gain 50 credits for each crate token claimed during the mission and then discard the tokens.

-- Return the Mission card corresponding to the mission that was just resolved to the game box.

-- If players just resolved the introductory mission, shuffle the Side Mission deck. Then draw two cards and place them faceup on the table. These are now active missions.

If players just resolved a non-agenda Side Mission, shuffle the Side Mission deck, draw one card, and place it faceup on the table. This card is now an active mission.

Yeah I always found that rule a bit silly really:

Biv pry's a crate open "Grenades?!?! Well I can't take them with me so I'll ditch them, but this crate seems sturdy enough I might take it with me to sell to the guy down at the black markets!!!"

Next campaign I run I'm thinking that crate swag should carry over and be transferable like bought weapons.

You could always see it as the Rebellion re-purposing the obtained items for another mission going on elsewhere...

Yeah... It's silly... I know.

But the rules are there to balance the games better.

Imagine if conditions and damage/strain continued to next mission?

Imagine if every troop you didn't kill was a free deployment on the next mission? Threat carrying over?

There are plenty of things that "reset" to attempt to re-balance the game-state between missions.

Great insights, thanks all!
