Gozanti docking clamps

By StarWarsDad1138, in X-Wing

Someone double-check my list please, couldn't find anything official. These are, to the best of my knowledge, the ships that can dock with the Gozanti.

TIE Fighter

TIE First Order (I thought there was a rolling saying that it is a TIE Fighter for the purposes of docking clamps)

TIE Bomber

TIE Advanced

TIE Interceptor

I don't think the TIE Advanced Prototype is allowed to, but if the TIE/fo is, I could understand the argument for it. Anyone have anything official?

ive always been under the impression it had to be all the same TIE variant, meaning literally any TIE.

Thats not true? Other than the all same type i dont recall any restriction.

The Docking Clamp card reads

"You may dock up to 4 TIE fighters, TIE Interceptors, TIE bombers, or TIE Advanced to this ship. All of these ships must have the same ship type."

TIE Fighters includes TIE/FO Fighters

TIE Advanced does not include TIE Adv. Prototype but does include Vader's TIE Advanced x1 (just like the TIE/x1 card as noted in the FAQ)

I believe it's all to do with whether the words appear in full on the ship card. Another example is Integrated Astromech which states "X-wing only" and can be used by an X-wing and a T-70 X-wing.

it probably will also be able to dock the TIE/SF Fighter by the same logic as the TIE/FO Fighter

though that may be hazardous to the health of the little turrets on the bottom

I suppose even though the models connect via the peg on the bottom of the model that, if the Gozanti were real, all types of ships would dock the right way up so the pilot could get into the ship via an access tube in the clamp and through the cockpit hatch on the top of the ship. Otherwise the pilot would have to do a little spacewalk to get from the Gozanti to the ship :)
