Quickdraw

By IG88E, in X-Wing Rules Questions

When I make a maneuver through an cluster mine and loose 1 shield, do I have to attack immediately or am I allowed to make an action before (e.g. barrel roll or focus)?

You do it when you lose the shield token. In the example you gave your attack would come before your action.

Ok thanks! So FCS or AS would be nic here

AS would let you take your action before taking the damage, FCS would allow you to get a target lock from the attack that you make but you wouldn't get it until afterwards.

But wouldn't FCS give you the TL to use on your attack that happens during combat phase so it is at least there for the second attack that turn.

Different question,

QuickDraw can conceivably make 4 attacks in one round with the SpecOps Training title, right?

The title isn't limited to once per round, so she uses her ability once, trigger title for a second attack, then make a normal attack and trigger the title again. For a total of 2 shots forward and 2 shots to the rear.

I don't see anything stopping that, but in 9 pages of discussion on the article no one seems to have mentioned it.

That's correct.

It was mentioned several times when Quickdraw was first spoiled in the Wave 9 preview article, It was also mentioned that if you get your placement correct with a large ship right on your side you can shoot the same ship 4 times in a single round.

Yes, you'd have the TL for the combat phase without having taken the TL action.

Definitely. I've generally been looking at him with Electronic Baffles in his system slot so that he can reliably cause himself damage in the activation phase.

"Her"... Quickdraw is a SHE.

(I screwed up the quotes. Sorry!)

The precedent is that Quickdraw is a male name. If you want to go around being called by a man's name expect to be referred to as a he.

I'd still probably put Electronic Baffles on him.

So is her last name McGraw?

We've got a McDibs already, so maybe.
