That dial is going to be exceptional with advanced sensors! I can see this thing getting in close and causing some mayhem. Backdraft has a solid ability that will make getting in close then speeding away a decent tactic. These guys seem like they could close the distance to JM5K's and then keep them in close range forcing them to use their turret over ordnance. I can't wait to try this ship out!
Tie/SF the imperials have a knife fighter!
Yes. The Imperials DO have a knife-fighter. It's called the TIE Advanced Prototype.

Exactly.
pretty skippy we weren't nearing any shortage of knife fighters in the imperial arsenal

A ship where everyone seems to only take the one pilot that vastly prefers to snipe.

snipe-fighter
I thought Soontir with his two bank or turns stayed up close and personal. Maybe knife fight means something else perhaps?
Edited by Ken at SunriseThe TAP I wouldn't call a 4 hp ship a knife fighter, maybe a butter knife fighter?

it's not the 4hp, it's the 2-dice primary that's the butter knife
the Pfighter over in scum will be bringing a knife
Fenn will be bringing croc Dundee's knife

Knife fighters dont throw their knife.
TAPs arent knife fighters, theyre snipers. Since who the crap ever uses them except for the inquis (which in all honesty is kinda sad since its a great ship as a whole)
Backdraft sure puts the arse in Imperial Arsenal.
HUSH! SOMEONE HAD TO SAY IT!
Some previous discussion on knife fighters... here .
I mean. I'd rather take a defender to a knife fight. The tie/fo sloop is awesome up close those.
A knife fighter that can't use its hard one isn't a knife fighter.

The TAP is the close-in fighter. It picks a target and locks in.
The TIE/sf is basically like Legolas in the Lord of the Rings. It wants to go into the brawl and attack two targets at a time while shooting three dice primary arrows into your face when it can't.
A knife fighter that can't use its hard one isn't a knife fighter.
Why can't it use a hard one? It's got a systems slot and it's a three dice attack with the title. Did you guys look at the ship at all?

Advanced Sensors my friend, a staple of knife starfighters since Wave 3 Worlds.
That, and it comes with Wired for pete's sake.
Adv Sensors for focus token w/ the tech, or barrelroll for positioning, 1hard. Get stressed, reroll eyes on all attacks.
Still dont get why it goes from green to red....but whatever im not bummed about the dial at all. Could be better, but its by far not bad. Bad would be the stupid Lambda dial....or ewing

What makes you think the SF and quickdraw will be any different?
The Lambda has a dial like that because it's a shuttle. It has a 3/1/5/5 statline for 21 points.
The E-wing's dial is pretty average: it's not the source of the E-wing's problems.
Am i the only one who asks "and then what?" You have four greens and turned off half your dial. If you pull that hard one you better kill them because now you're in a bad way

Because he snipes using knifes.
KNIFE SNIPER!

You're 100% correct, but I had a funny idea to share:
Imagine the E-Wing at the current price, with every manuver in the game, at every speed, all green.
It would be the best fighter in the game, I think.

You have two firing arcs, still plenty of options.
