Sooo, Sensor Cluster is what R3 should have been. Right?
SF Fighter preview
Collision Detector is cool!
Honestly, I didn't realize Palp Aces needed a buff.
The only proper aces it goes on are Echo and Whisper who still want FCS.
Eh - it's a sensor slot, so it doesn't go on the ACES at all. You put it on Palpatine's shuttle, because why not? Now he ignores debris damage entirely and reduces risk from asteroids from 50% to 3/8 odds of damage.
Auto-include.
Depends how often that shuttle is going to decloak, barrel roll, or boost
For those that aren't liking the dial, use the twin ion engine Mk. 2 mod, it's one point and this ship isn't using any other mods most the time.
Now it has all green straights and banks, like the defender with the mod.
Also generic with sensor cluster and mk 2 is only 25.

? Doesn't need to - the upgrade pays for itself just in the damage reduction from regular maneuvers...
I mean, it's free and makes you immune to crits from obstacles . That's...crazy good.

Given that it's free there's no harm putting it on there but you need an Engine Upgrade for it to do anything
E: waaaaaaitaminute the crit immunity isn't conditional on being used *for boosting/bring/decloaking*. This is much, much better than it first seems, and yeah, no reason not to take it on any ship with a free system slot.

It's reverse Weapons Guidance, so I think it's fitting to be a Tech slot.
Having said that, I am convinced there was some time warp and two different timelines of FFG created these expansions. ARC created by Wave 0-1 FFG, and SF was Wave 7-8 FFG.
Edited by KdubbBackdraft's auto-Advanced Targeting Computer out of his rear arc is funny. Quickdraw's possible activation-phase shenanigans is even funnier. I'm not seeing anything game-changing here, but it's nice for the Imperials to have a small-based ship that flies like a Rebel small-based ship, even though in the current meta it's likely to get U-Boated to hell and back.
Edited by Rodafowa"The dial is bad"
Only if you are wed to PTL. Really, thats a pretty nice dial with all 1-speed manouvers, 3-sloops, and white 2-turns. It won't be the FO crazyness by any strech, but this is more than workable, its pretty **** good. Similar to the Star Viper.
Almost every ship in the game has a hard 2 that is white, this isn't evidence of a good dial. The problem isn't that you can't run PTL, it's that your ability to dogfight will be severely restricted, especially when it comes time to clear stress from the fact that 1/3rd of your dial is red.
At least they give us wired, which will allow modifiers on all attack and defense roles after performing a red maneuver. Combine with AS and the red-maneuver tax isn't too harsh.

Nah, the 4-straight remains white. But yeah, mk2 makes the dial a lot faster.

If the dial was too good it would have been overpowered for what your getting. I think this ok for what's worth. And the Tie Ion helps for the 1 point.

Nothing on the card would seem to indicate that? You can action over obstacles, also when taking obstacle damage you ignore crits.
IE., you are protected from obstacle crit damage in regular maneuvers.
R3 and Sensor Cluster on a Red Vet with Juke. Why? Because, I just want to evade everything and they can stack because one's an adding result and the other is a spent Token.
Throw in Auto thruster and "Blank" "Eyeball" is the best roll result you could get at range 3
Backdraft, title, accuracy corrector, 2 hits and a crit twice over every time he has a shot from the rear. Looking forward to that
Man this thing just frigging clowns on the ARC, doens't it?
I wonder whether equipping Collision detector means that you'll have to take that barrel roll, even if you're going to overlap and don't want to - there isn't a 'may' in there...

No way to combo that. If you Backdraft first, AC cancels his crit. If you AC first, you cannot then Backdraft as the AC upgrade says the dice 'cannot be further modified' after triggering it.

No. The bit about ignoring crits on obstacle damage isn't dependent on hitting an obstacle with a boost, barrel-roll, or decloak.

Whoops missed that.
This ship is definitely a baby defender in maneuverability and jousting ability.
Sadly it has Starviper syndrome and no k turn

Other than the fact that you can't modify the dice after you use Accuracy Corrector, sure.

Exactly .
That's why I'm complaining about it - it's an auto-include upgrade. I mean, it's literally 0 points, so even if it never triggers in a match...you are out nothing by bringing it along. And if it stops a 'Direct Hit'? Or just lets you fly straight through a debris cloud with only a stress token for your trouble? Just free damage reduction!
Throw it on the Lambda...the Ghost...Etahn ain't gonna complain...hell, toss it on some B-Wings...etc
Anyone else guffawed at FFG's "2 + 2 dice > 3" "math is easy" spiel?
******* GREEN DICE EXIST, FFG
Super pumped that the upgrades included ACTUALLY COST WHAT THEYRE WORTH
Collision detector is especially interesting and can open up a lot of tactical opportunities
Man this thing just frigging clowns on the ARC, doens't it?
The dial is probably similar given what we're promised and the title bonus is worse (re Far more situational)
We're simply trading upgrade potential (crew + astro can make for some powerhouses) fit a bit of efficiency (though still very efficient at PS 3)
And QuickDraw, who is beast but difficult to use due to possessing the strictly integrity of a freaking soap bubble
He has TONS of potential, but he's not so crazy that he blows the ARC out if the water (though he will murder the **** out of them in a direct matchup; low Agi no likely multiple attacks)
