Hey guys !
So, after trying it a lot, 3 activations Imperials sound a bit light for my taste, so I was wanting to try out different stuff and I quite wanted your help ! I'm more of a Rebel player myself, and I don't seem to be able to find the Imperials' sweet spot as I did with the Rebs. So, because you're most definitely much more wonderful Imperial players than I am, I'd love to pick your brains and get your take on the fleet ! I don't really find good strategies for a 4 ship build with the current fleet I own (1 ISD, 2 VSD, 1 GSD, 1 RC) so I'm also limited by that factor ![]()
You guys would be super awesome if you commented on my logic (I'll put a short snippet below each ship) to help me see where my brain farts !

Here we go !
Vader VVGR - 400 points
Victory 2 - Vader, Intel Officer, Enhanced Armaments, Warlord (146 points)
From my experience with Imperials, I really have trouble getting a double arc shot on small ships, so the idea with the Intel Officer was to capitalize on the single shot to push longer lasting damage. Enhanced Armament because I'm likely to get flanked, so I wanted the opponent to not gain as much. Warlord to boost red dice damage and use this boat as a centerpiece red dice damage, synergizing with IO and EA.
Victory 2 - Intel OFficer, Enhanced Armaments (102 points)
Smaller poitns wise, untitled version of the above Victory, with the same logic.
Gladiator 2 - Naked (62 points)
Shockingly not a Demo !!! The idea was to play it as a counter carrier mini carrier to provide a speed bump for the enemy carriers rather than hitting my 2 Vics. Using the 2 blue AA to barrage the carriers' payload, then doubling up with Black Dice threat.
Raider 1 - Impetuous, Ruthless Strategists (52 points)
So, this is another anti-fighter ship that can double up as a suicide torpedo boat to take one enemy arc off my medium ships. The build is to capitalize on the fun Kamikaze Bomber that you'll see below !
TIE Interceptor
Soontir Fel
So, both of these fighters will be managed by the Glad. Once again, the goal is to be as annoying as possible to the enemy fighters, hopefully kill off 1-2 when combined with the AF barrage, and otherwise use Fel as a defensive unit to inflict passive damage if they decide to attack larger ships.
TIE Bomber
So, the idea is to have the cheapest, largest hull value available to the Imperials to proc Ruthless Strategists on the Impetuous. Truly, I really don't mind losing 9 points to inflict up to 5 auto damage on top of the Impetuous' double tap.
Objectives :
- Most Wanted or Opening Salvo (what do you guys think ?)
- Contested Outpost for sure
- Minefields or Dangerous Territory (what do you guys think ?)
