Double, Double S-Foil and Shuttle

By stonestokes, in X-Wing Squad Lists

I played this list for the first time today in a casual game at the FLGS against one of the better players in the area, and it held its own.

Double, Double S-Foil and Shuttle

  • Biggs Darklighter (X-Wing) + R4-D6 + Integrated Astromech (26)
  • Rookie Pilot (X-Wing) + R3-A2 + Integrated Astromech (23)
  • Sabine Wren (Attack Shuttle) + Autoblaster Turret + Kanan Jarus + Push the Limit (29)
  • Ezra Bridger (Attack Shuttle) + Elusiveness (22)

I built the list around the two shuttles just so I could practice flying them. Then the name popped into my head, and I knew I needed to throw in a couple of X-Wings.

They did better than I expected, honestly. I won the game against Manaroo, a Z-95 with Concussion Missiles, and two Kihraxz Fighters, all with Mindlink, but it was really close. It came down to Sabine vs Manaroo, each with 2 hull points left, and I opted to fire my Autoblaster Turret and rolled hit, hit.

I love Sabine Wren, especially the way I have her built. In a previous incarnation, I had Dorsal Turret on her instead, but I think the Autoblaster Turret works even better for her.

Ezra performed about how I thought he would. If I drop one of the X-Wings I would have the points to fatten him up a bit. Maybe give him a TLT, Kyle Katarn, and possibly an Engine Upgrade?

Anyone have any other suggestions?

Love a punny title.

Not sure I'd drop an x-wing. I fear 3 ships in this type of setup, even fattened up, might not work quite so well, but your mileage may vary.

Add chopper to ezra, no reason not to, really.

You're right! No reason to not add Chopper. I will be surprised if I find a use for him—the only situation I can conceive of is the end game where an opportune barrel roll might dodge an arc. Still, there's no downside to carrying him.

Thanks! :)
