Corran Horn RAGE

If you go with the engine upgrade, I think PTL is a much better option. Focus + evade is great when you need to just survive.

If your points are a little tighter, I think this set up is worth considering. Less ability to turtle up and arc dodge, but his attacks are really consistent.

Would nicely in a jousting list alongside Wes (R3A2) and Biggs(R4D6).

Well, you lose access to advanced sensors for a round in return for a triple action (2 rerolls and a focus token in defense) in one turn.

And the turn you are single action you can't shoot anyway.

It's... actually an interesting proposition.

Keyan's even better at abusing Rage + Adv Sensors. Advanced sensors to rage, do a green and lose one of the stress, then attack and lose the other. Rinse and repeat. Or you can just go cheapo and just give him Rage, though it limits your options the next turn.

I don't quite see how that build gives you anything better than PTL Farlander while costing an extra point and restricting the B-wing's mobility.

PTL Farlander moves green or white, then target locks, focuses or barrel rolls depending on situation, stresses and come the combat phase can re-roll all four dice if at R1 (or packing an HLC) needed and shed the stress to turn eyeballs into hits, then is stress-free to use the whole dial if desired next round - so can use the reds if needed.

If I'm understanding right, Rage/A.S. Farlander is forced to move green to shed the first stress, can't then BR to reposition as has spent the only action (and is stressed), and then if he pulls the trigger can only re-roll 3 (though rarely needed it may come up at R1) and shed stress. If he doesn't get the shot (which is more likely because of the lesser mobility) he's stuck with the stress token for another turn, meaning another green.

The only advantage I can see is if your original intended victim (who PTL Keyan TL'ed) gets killed before keyan's shot, but there's another target in arc - Rage keyan still has 3 re-rolls against the new target, PTL keyan doesn't. but that doesn't seem worth the extra point or the other downsides.

If it weren't for the fact that it's only one point cheaper than PTL/FCS I think this would be worth it. But because it IS only one point cheaper than PTL/FCS, I think the penalties are significant enough that it makes PTL/FCS still the better option.

Rage/Waffles is just bad. Horn is more than fragile enough without spending one or two of his shields to get your rerolls.

PtL is good, but we're not talking about PtL, though to answer your question:

-You can get re-rolls on stuff you couldn't TL at the time.

-You don't telegraph your intended target as you would with a TL.

-You can switch targets without losing your re-rolls.

-You have Adv Sensors for when you K-turn/bump to grab actions.

That's not to say that Rage + sensor Keyan is better than PtL Keyan. It was just an interesting combo I've tried that was somewhat relevant to the topic.

I could see this working if he was paired with my Han/Ezra/Kanan build. This gives Kanan the ability to lift the stress of mr. Horn with almost any move on the dial. Very situational though.

Adding Kanan crew to Rage + Sensor Keyan could help make that work better. Getting expensive though.

Love the idea, OP. I'm always excited to see more Rage builds. It's one of those cards that calls to me, but I haven't yet put it in a list.
