I'm going to play a tournament tomorrow and have only played 3 skirmish games before. I'm looking for help with a list. I have the base game, IG-88 & Bobba Fett. I would like to try scum but don't know where to start. Anyone have some advice? I don't even know what is competitive.

I don't think there an awful lot of scum bits in the base game so what I'd probably do is include one of the bounty hunters alongside the imperials from the box.

Maybe something like:

Rule by fear 1

Temporary alliance 1

Boba Fett 12

Elite nexu 6

2x Elite stormtroopers 18

Officer 2

The elite stormtroopers are great and the nexu is very good as well if you perceive with pounce and getting placement right for cleave.

Boba Fett is solid just a bit expensive but he's fun and can be effective. Officer is there to push people about, sit on a terminal, and be a target for take initiative.

That's the sort of thing I'd go for but it depends what you'd like to run mate.

Decent stuff from the box I'd say is

Elite stormtroopers

Officer (regular)

Elite nexu

Royal guard (regular)

Elite probe droid

Rule by fear (always take this if playing imperials!)

Any of those could be seen popping up in top lists, so if you try and limit yourself to the decent choices then you're likely to at least not be handicapping yourself.

That being said feel free to just run what you enjoy, depending on the level of the competition that'll get you by no problem

I think boba fett is 13 pts

and with only one core box, you'll only have 1 estormtrooper

Oops I think you're right buck, I thought he was overpriced at 12!

In which case you could grab a second eProbe instead of the Nexu.

Regards 1 eStorm we normally just use a second regular and "count as" but if you're playing in a tournament you'll need the second card I guess
