Shadows and Dust OOC

By Prophyt, in Star Wars: Force and Destiny RPG

The poor boy is a starfighter mechanic, so he can't hack the cruiser piloting controls. He does, however, think he knows where the core should be

Meanwhile, in space, Sith cruiser 2 moves into "extreme 2.5" and Sith cruiser 1 decreases its speed to 0 and angles its shields. PC slot.

"Nexu 1, let's bring down those last fighters... Now!"

There are indeed 3 starfighters left in Sith Squadron 6

How many remain? It's only one from each of the last two flights right?

Edit: well that answers that :D

Take them out! : 2eA+1eP+3eB+2eD+2eS 4 successes

9 damage, so 1?

SS6 has all 3 starfighters still, 1 is heavily damaged.

What's your damage? I'm AFB

9 damage, so 1?

Yes, You destroy 1 of them

Another PC slot up

I'll grab that. Ren-Do following Rin in as usual.

Okay. Go ahead and roll your attack.

Maneuver to stay on target, upgrade again with a DP flip, boost for droid, all is good...

Shooting more sith : 2eP+1eB+2eD+1eS 2 successes, 1 threat
Not bad, that does 7 damage, don't know how the GM wants to use the threat.
IC post will follow Rin's once I know if this killed one or not.

That's enough to destroy the previously damaged starfighter.

1 Strain for the threat.

Jedi cruiser remains stationary. The remaining starfighter attempts to flee, moving towards Sith cruiser 1. Micc'm moves in and fires on it.

Getting the last starfighter : 1eA+3eP+1eD+1eC+1eS 0 successes, 2 advantage, 1 Triumph, 1 Despair
Oh wow...So, his weapons don't fire, for whatever reasons, so he rushes in with his ship, plowing straight into and through the remaining sith starfighter, severely damaging his own ship in the process. He'll throw a boost to the next PC, then spend the remainder to notice that the Sith cruiser point defense turrets aren't activated.

It'll be about 2 hours before I can start hammering out an IC post. In the meantime, there are 3 remaining PC slots for this round

Sonya will move closer to the Sith cruiser and do some damage control to try to reduce the strain on her ship. Are there any modifiers to the damage control roll?

Okay, moving closer to the Sith cruiser gets you in close range of it, long range from the Jedi cruiser. No modifiers for your check

I suppose every little bit of strain helps...

At least it will make the droid happy.

Let the droid fix the ship already : 1eA+1eP+1eB+1eD 1 success

Does Micc'm need assistance to get back to the Jedi cruiser?

Given that we only have blaster cannons, it might be a good idea for us to fall back and see if we can't rip a hole in the space-time continuum by hyperspacing our cruiser outta here.

Micc'm's Kobayashi Maru is as faulty as his cryo chamber.

Lol I'd be interested to see what happens if the space time continuum does get destroyed by you guys. It would definitely throw a wrench in my current plans

Not to mention opening some interesting narrative prospects

I'm confused - are we in a simulation, or did we actually go back in time? Will our actions just over-heal the holocron, or could we actually change real history? Wouldn't that create a space-time paradox as the Jedicicles would have no reason to be on the planet?

Could we create a situation where we save the day, Xaramis does his thing with the Togruta Jedi, and thus becomes his own Great 160 Grandfather? Because that would top my list of 'weird tabletop backstories'.

XDDD

Well, "changing history" in the holocron doesn't actually change history. Whatever happens will be the true event 4000 years ago, there will be some slight alterations depending on the outcome. For instance, Micc'm "remembers" the event as it's portrayed in the prologue and opening crawl, but it could easily have been different.

Micc'm doesn't need assistance, it'll just take him an extra maneuver to return
