It's an invasion fleet meant to steal Jedi artifacts from the library. Probably like 3 or 4, but the Cron Cluster detonation will start taking care of things soon enough
Shadows and Dust OOC
Also, would Tok's scanner goggles that I completely forgot about until now help with the smoke in the room?
Yeah they would have removed all those setbacks
Greeeaaat.
Yeah...you might have defeated those troopers sooner
Well, I rolled like 3 Despair so far, cuz Richard likes to upgrade EVERY check difficulty
I'm assuming Garon will want to finish off the last trooper himself, so the saboteurs will stand up and start running toward the aft door as well.
That's likely.
Are we waiting on me. I've lost track of the initiative.
Yes, it's the second PC slot for round 3 of the boarding party encounter. Sonovabith took the first slot.
As a side note, some additional information: Jedi weren't forbidden to marry during the time period our Jedicicles came from. It was added later to prevent Jedi from creating dynasties of Force powerful families
And even then a special dispensation was made for Cereans. I had planned some family related memories. With several women...
*snort* I make this observation specifically in case anyone was wondering why a Jedi would wink at Xaramis. I plan to torture him later using her memory
I was specifically planning this to poke at Xaramis as well. The Cerean might not look like a player, but with the pressure on Cerean males to father as many children as possible, with multiple wives, I suspect he may have been almost as busy as Xaramis. ![]()
Lulz
The more I read the Legends article of the Jedi Code, the more I realize the Jedi Order at the time of the Clone Wars utterly failed themselves and the Republic
Increased difficulty to go for a Two-Weapon attack (dual fists) + 2 maneuvers to Aim
Third Time's a charm: 2eA+2eP+2eB+3eD+1eS 0 successes, 3 advantage

Unfortunately it didn't pan out. But Garon will spend those 3 advantage to slam the last guy on the ground.
Hey, I had a thought if the group wants to get involved with the Rebellion. Once the group hits 100 Duty and gets a rank of Contribution, instead of gear, vehicles, or a base, how about a rank of Sound Investments for each member to represent a pay stub?
That's if the group wants to be part of the Rebellion, other than Iskander.
kaosoe: I'll allow it. You knock the guy temporarily unconscious.
kaosoe: I'll allow it. You knock the guy temporarily unconscious.
I meant to just knock him prone, but that will work too. Garon's probably just as confused as I am.
Well, Garon is a heck of a lot stronger than most of the naval troopers
And even then a special dispensation was made for Cereans. I had planned some family related memories. With several women...

You can try, he's pretty amoral so I'm not sure how much effect it would have.

Could you clarify. I know it's off-topic, but I'm interested.

Okay so the Jedi teach against personal attachments, which is why many of the Clone Wars era Jedi thought marriage was banned. Yet, they're taught that the lightsaber is their most important possession/tool (Obi-wan to Anakin in episode 2, Anakin to Ahsoka in the Clone Wars series), which would invariably lead to personal attachment to a weapon. It may have been an inconvenience to reconstruct a lightsaber if one was lost or destroyed, but with ready access to Ilum and crystal mines, the Jedi Order shouldn't have placed a higher importance on the lightsaber than a personally constructed weapon.
Jedi use their powers to defend and protect, never to attack others. <- this is part of the official tenets itself pulled from the Legends entry. This is broken countless times, regardless of whether they're sentient, wild animals, or droids.
Jedi serve others, rather than rule over them, for the good of the galaxy. <- also pulled from the Legends entry. Jedi knights and Masters were placed in direct control over personnel, battalions, armies - clones and otherwise - during the Clone Wars.
If a Jedi ignites his lightsaber, he must be ready to take a life. <- one of the miscellaneous tenets. Another tenet broken countless times just to light a room
"Jedi would always have been ready to accept defeat if the cost of winning was greater than the cost of losing. Jedi were taught that it was always best to end things peacefully than to win or lose." - can it be said that any Jedi followed this tenet in the Clone Wars? While some Separatist leaders had given the order to kill Jedi generals, Dooku, on more than one occassion, attempted to end battles peacefully rather than continue combat or force. Certainly he did so by means of attempted coercion to the Dark Side, but he attempted peaceful negotiations first and foremost. Unlike his predecessor Darth Maul, or his Master Palpatine, Dooku was almost always attacked by Jedi first and defended himself when engaged in personal combat.
I ended up rambling a bit there at the end, but yeah, that's the gist of my thoughts
That is interesting. Given that you've got five of the 'purer' Jedi to manipulate Xaramis' learning in the Force, it should be interesting to see how he develops when they start teaching him properly.
XDDD Not to mention the group mentor is also from the same time period
Should be interesting. Bonus points for deep philosophical discussion if we meet a 'modern' Jedi.
