I officially vote for Mentor (in either Force Ghost or Holocron form) and a ship.
Shadows and Dust OOC
[REDACTED]
Edited by ProphytI said ditto to Kymrel's vote. Mentor and ship.
So my vote is both official and half unofficial? Am I Schroedinger's voter?
Scratch that. I thought your vote was kaosoe's for some reason
I think I'll keep my character as is. I've got to stop myself from thinking about what to tinker with the character.

You can tinker with it by spending experience as the campaign goes on ;P

It's kindof amusing.
Any money the Jedicicles have on hand would be in Republic Credits from 3000 years earlier
How does that even convert to Imperial Credits? XD
Can I take mine in Czerka stock?
Or is our change now priceless artifacts?
Edited by Jedi Ronin*snort* Sadly no, but we'll just say the first planet with a bank you go to converts it over at a 1-to-1 exchange rate

Best to spend it all
But since you mentioned XP, do you have plans to make the XP progression fairly fast, average or slow? Just curious how far I should be thinking, seeing how people are talking about second careers here!
I think the setup you have lends itself well to fairly rapid progression, which is good for PbP games. By that I mean that many of the characters are not exactly learning new things, but remembering lost knowledge, and the rest are exposed to a wealth of new information from the Jedicicles.
I definitely want a ship,
a Holocron can be beneficial to non force users so long as an actual force user is there to activate it. But I don't have a clue what skills we would want, we are such a diverse bunch. Discipline is always useful for those that don't have it, none of us have Gunnery either
I like having a mentor, but it usually on saves you 5 to 10 XP since most XP is spent in the force power trees rather than the initial cost.
So my vote is: Ship! if we do get the second resource then I don't mind which
I think experience is going to be on the fast track. With PbP, "sessions" usually run as long as a week or two as opposed to a couple hours.

Very good. It is important to be able to see some sort of progress in a PbP
That's 4 full votes in out of a possible 7
The ship is locked in for the Modern crew, obviously. You guys want to hash out ship models? You purchasing limit is.......85000 credits
I think the G9 is a great choice of ship, decent size and HT, 3 guns for non Pilot PC's.
But later today I'll go through a few books and see if anything else jumps out at me.
It is quite slow and weak though. I'm sure there are better ships for 85k credits
True on the slow, it's a bit of a fixer upper for sure. I would like Silhouette 4 considering the party size
The G9 works well but here are some more options (comparisons made to G9).
Savage Spirits offers us the Kazellis light freighter.
A lot faster and better handling. Better armor. Lower Hull. Only one gun system (but it's a quad laser cannon so hooya).
It might be too tight a fit though - 2 crew and 4 passengers.
Enter the Unknown offers us:
YG-4210 light freighter. Better armor and shields. Better Hull, worse strain. Only one weapon system.
YT-1000 light freighter. Faster and better handling. Lower hull and strain. Only one weapon system.

Firespray?
Granted some people may need to bunk in a cell...
lol
The cutaway cross-sections book of Star Wars ships I has as a kid showed that the prison "cells" in Slave-I were little more than coffins
Firespray - yuck, It's a flying coffin!
YG-4210 sounds interesting, how many Hard Points does it have? Enough to mount a turret?
In a much longer sense I have always enjoyed groups that have a Silhouette 5 hulk with a Starfighter or two. But that's takes a fair bit of 'acquisition'
If we're voting on 2 resources, I vote Mentor (in the form of a holocron but using the mentor bonus), and ship. Though a hidden jedi temple as a base isn't ridiculous, either.
As for ship. Are we talking ships within the rebellion era? If so, Ghtroc isn't a bad choice. I'm a huge fan of the E-9 Explorer.
Edited by kaosoeI may have a solution for the ship resource. But it would take until possibly the second or third session to acquire, barring complications...
