Hi all, I've been PMing Prophyt, asking him if I could join in you guys as a player on the reserve/rotation group. I was wondering what type of character you'd like me to play.

Well we've got a high Brawn character, two high Agility characters, two high Intellect characters and a high Presence character. I'd look through the existing character sheets and look for a slot you feel you could fill.

Kymrel, would you like us to introduce our characters IC, or are we talking about something else?

So far, as a gross simplification, the party atm is mostly melee focused.

There is Ren-Do, defensive lightsaber

There is Garon, Brawl

There is Xara, duelist lightsaber

There is Kellen(Krayt Dragon Form) and Sonya(Hawk-Bat Form), offensive lightsaber

Would you guys want some more Support/utility, or more ranged? Though I know Merc Soldier can cover a bit of the Support and bring in Ranged. Would you want more Force or more mundane?

Well we can't tell you what to do. What books do you have? That will help us in some way.

I have the 3 core books on pdf, Dangerous Covenants, Savage spirits, lead by example, far horizons, enter the unknown, suns of fortune, strongholds, desperate allies, mask of the pirate queen(for if I ever want a star viper), stay on target, fly casual.

And I want to know what I could do to help the group. I mean, you shouldn't want me to play a gank gadgeteer with a heavy blaster rifle*.

*Has done that before.

Well if you wanted to fill a niche a suppose you could play a Seeker/Hunter with a big rifle, but you may want to branch out. We've got a face, a surrogate pilot and various combat characters, so if you wanted to buy into healing that might not be all bad, though as we have two Int 4 characters already it might be a bit redundant.

I keep saying this, but what do you want to play?

And do remember this game is not all about combat, being competent is nice, but in a party full of competent combat characters you should try to be good at something outside of combat.

We don't have a Force Power User focused on getting a high Force Rating quickly - Battle Meditation, Heal (Harm muahhhhahahah) or Protect/Unleash.

What I want to play. . . . hmm, truth is I really don't know what to play, but I've always enjoyed playing Warlord(the 4e DnD class). A support character that proactively change combat. I know from all of the careers and trees, a true warlord is impossible, especially at base xp. Though, the closest approximation would be a Peacekeeper trying to get battle meditation and heal. But all of the main leader-y trees use ranged light, and I'm truly a fan of ranged heavy. I'm less interested in the Force than I am being a mundane atm.

After some thought, albeit not a lot as I was busy with stuff at home, I had a couple ideas.

1. Going Soldier: Medic. It's a good tree in a good career. Gruff patcher-up type of dude.

-Don't know how an Age built character would go. (But hey, that's why I'm posting it)

2. Smuggler: Scoundrel or Gambler. Some person who knows the ins and outs of all the shady alleyways, someone who can get in contact with Fixers and gear. Nar Shadda being his home away from home.

3. Droid Technician: Outlaw tech. Gear builder. Random inventions.
