If Garon was to take the next initiative slot, what is the Droid's current distance from him?
Shadows and Dust OOC
HK-55 moved forward to engaged with Ren-Do, so he's currently short range to everyone else, I think
Garon will spend a maneuver to engage the droid and spend his second (free) maneuver to aim and his action to use his shockgloves on the droid.
In my head, I imagined Garon always wears his gloves, however if you want to rule that they are stowed away, I could use the second maneuver to draw the gloves or something else.
I believe there is already a floating boost die that I will take.
In case he is unable to aim, I will roll the boost separate:
Brawl attack
:
2eA+2eP+2eD+1eB
1 success, 3 advantage
Aim boost:
Spare boost
:
1eB
1 success
5 damage without the aim, 6 with it. I will use 2 advantage to activate the stun 3 quality. I will wait on GM affirmative before posting the IC.
Edited by kaosoeKellen will go next - Prophyt are you going to upgrade the check or should I just roll it?
kaosoe: aim is good. 1 point of damage goes through soak. Stun 3 is affirmative.
No more upgraded difficulty for now. I've been generous enough giving them back to you ;P
Wonderful. I will also use the remaining advantage to pass a boost die to the next player. IC incoming.
Kellen's turn:
Incidental to activate Lightsaber.
Maneuver to Engage
Action to attack:
Lightsaber Check : 3eA+1eP+1eB+2eD 5 successes
So 11 Stun Damage before Soak.
I'll post IC after kaosoe
Not sure stun damage will have much effect on it, but I'll attempt to hit it with my shiny glowstick...
Since he starts at engaged range that would be a maneuver to Aim and then attack, using that convenient floating boost.
Ulric: sorry for making you wait so long for this. As far as Sonya can see, there's no alarm she can activate, but she can close the airlock door
Kellen does 6 damage after soak
So the droid is not immune to stun damage?
I'm not near my books, so I don't know for sure, but this droid is super old
I'll use the two advantages to inflict a setback on the HK's next attack. My IC post is ready, will post once the rest of the gang that attacked before me has posted IC.
Hm. Since Kellen posted, and I attack right after him in the IC post I had prepared, I posted my IC attack post.
I believe RAW stun damage works on droids, but final call is up to GM.
One could argue that in this context it's either doing blunt trauma to the old systems, knocking them out of alignment or damaging fragile components, or that the electricity - especially from Garon's gloves - is overloading the droid's systems.
Indeed. I just recalled that it is my own house rule that stun weapons have no effect on droids
No worries. I will post IC, it will hopefully be a humorous cutaway from the combat...
That's going to need to be one hell of a Deception check
Sonya does not know this, but I'm hoping rumors of a saboteur in engineering will help.
Lol
Is anyone left in the round or are we back at the top?
Back at the top of the order, my friends.
2 PC slots, then the HK if it's still standing, then 4 PCs
I think some of us melee-folks should take the first slots this time around. And since I'm around now and might not be for a fair few hours I'll just have a go at killing the **** thing :/
I'll use a maneuver to aim, and another (taking two strain) to do so again for 2 boost dice total.
- I'll give the droid another setback to its next attack (that makes 2 total) for 2 advantages.
- I'll give myself +1 melee defense (making it 2 total) for 3 advantages (I'm planning to draw the attention of the droid towards me, hoping it will attack me...)
- I'll give the next player to act a Boost die.
