Watching the Rebels panel at SWCE, the trailer showed some Imperial droids that I thought looked pretty familiar. Turns out their not as familiar as I thought, but they do invoke the design quite a bit, I think.

What do you think? Are we getting Dark Troopers back in canon (and, hopefully, in Imperial Assault)?

I think they look okay, they very much take inspiration from some of the Clone Wars droid designs, but maybe these are just Phase I Dark Troopers and we will seem them become more intmidating over time.

Did you guys ever play Jedi Outcast and it's sequel? There were some sweet dark troopers in that one

I'd love to see these come to Imperial Assault and add some droid flavours to the Imperial Side. Sorin is fine along side HKs, but I'd like to save the one point from Temp Alliance and just go full Imperial.
I could see Heavy Storm Trooper like base but with built in abilities much like the HKs.
Then we have the awesome Death Troopers from Rogue one to look forward too! I'm excited for the upcoming expansions for IA.

With the Technological Superiority class deck, Probe Droids, and HK's, I can assure you that the Imperial faction in campaign needs absolutely no more droids.
